Rated 4 out of 5 by from a bit tight in the toe box, otherwise I like them the title pretty much says it all. these are the first pair of Nike shoes I've had in more than 20 years. compared to what I've been running in for the past 15+ (Salomon, New Balance, Pearl Izumi), the toe box seems a bit tight. I could see this before I ever put them on. they seem kinda pointy. other than the toe box, they are comfortable - I'm hoping they toe box loosens up a bit as I put some miles on them. I cannot yet speak to durability as I've only run in them three times for a total of about 10 miles. for what it's worth: I've specifically avoided Nike products in the past.... when they decided to support Colin Kaepernick, I decided I owed it to them to try a pair. so far so good.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overall great but defective The shoes are overall comfortable and fit well. But I've had repeated problems with a crease in the tongue on the left shoe. The problems this creates is an uncomfortable rubbing on the top of the foot that digs in when running and creates a sharp pain. I reordered a pair, but those two had the same problem. Also there are quality issues like residue and glue on the shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love ‘em....with one exception Bought the white/black and the “platinum tint” color ways. Overall, the shoe is one of my favorites in recent memory. Love it for the gym, light weight, very comfortable, and the white/black look dope. I wish the the blue ones were actually white and blue cuz they would be incredible looking. Took a gamble cuz the picture makes it hard to see the exact “tint” but honestly it’s a weird hue that makes it look like a dirty white sneaker that you tried to clean. Passed on them and returned. Will probably buy additional colors though, cuz the shoe is a go! #flossycarter

Rated 4 out of 5 by from IMPROVEMENT OVER ODYSSEY REACT 1 I'm a light overpronator, wide feet with normal arch. Odyssey react 1 were too tight around the ankle with a thick/restrictive tongue and were warm on long runs. This version seems to resolve these issues with the upper-the flyknit is comfortable and expandable (I size up 1 size) and breathable. These shoes have a plastic clip on inner heel which provides minimal stability. Decent arch support as well. The react foam is bouncy, responsive and soft. I read reviews elsewhere that said that the react foam "hardened" in cold weather. I went for an easy run in these in 33 F weather this morning and no issues with bounce/responsiveness/traction. Solid shoe, with lots of react for enjoyable runs, and a comfortable flyknit upper. recommended

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice ones. Nice looking shoes and comfortable, for a while. I wish Nike stop making the arch support too high on some performance styles. I have Epic React 2 and I can be all day long on my feet, but the Odyssey React, because of the high arch support, it gets painful. I wanted to get another pair but I guess not. I hope Nike keep making these nice, comfortable, and good looking shoes at affordable prices. Trust me, there is a large population of people that work on their feet for 8 to 10 hours that have been ignored and crave for comfortable, good priced and nice looking shoes for work. Seems like all sneakers on the market are for performance and lifestyle only. I just can only wish a black leather shoe with the react cushioning, men you have a customer here for life.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nike Embarrassment This is from a career competitive runner and 30-year Nike patron. I bought these shoes the last day before coupon expiration, hoping they might work out. As many previous reviews had warned, these shoes run small. At my usual size of 11, the fit was tight and uncomfortable. I hoped that upon trying them at home with thinner socks the fit would improve, but not so. I returned to the store the next day and tried the same model in size 11.5. This alleviated the uncomfortable fit somewhat, but now the heel slipped. It occurred to me that this was simply a poorly-engineered shoe. Cushion and stability were minimal. Upon thorough examination, it also became clear that the soles would not hold up to many miles of extensive use. ( I had worn Nike Pegasus exclusively for over 20 years, and was used to routinely getting 1,000 miles and more from a pair of running shoes. Pegasus has likewise declined in performance and quality.) Of course, shoe prices across the board have increased dramatically in recent years. But even in today's market, shoes costing well over $100 should offer much more quality and bang for the buck than does the Odyssey. This shoe is another black mark on Nike's already tarnished name.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sizing not right The shoes were ordered by the Dick’s associate for me as he said this shoe was almost a carbon copy of my earlier version of the same shoe I was replacing. I spend about 7 hours on my feet at work and need comfort. The 13 size of the new shoe is probably a size too small for comfort. Switching to paper thin socks was not enough so I am going to try and stretch then with shoe inserts I used to use for dress shoes. The associate was great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They are true to size!!! I don't get why a majority of the reviews found these to be narrow. Because of them, I ordered .5 size up and found them to be too big to be a running shoe. If you plan on standing around in them, then sure size up for a nice loose fit. But I recommend going true to size for the proper support and if you find them to be too narrow they are likely to break in anyway. For reference I have flat feet and EEE wide feet.
