Great Looking Shoe…

How are these sneakers still being sold? It’s a tale of two…shoes? First, there is very little to no support for your heels. With every step I feel that one of my heels are going to pop out from the back. I didn’t even bother to try and run in these for fear of losing one while on the trail. Second, they are oddly very tight. Not in length or width but I feel the top of my feet being crushed. It’s a head scratcher. The back is so loose but the rest of it is so tight. Never again.

Very comfortable shoe to walk/run in but the waterproof levels are substandard.

Squicky Sound

The shoe is fine but after a couple of weeks of use, one of the shoe started doing a squicky sound and its anoying.

A Reminder That Nike Ain’t What It Used To Be.

I’m reminded that Nike is a streetwear brand for middle-schoolers, rather than an athletic sneaker brand deserving your consideration (excepting their super shoes). I bought this for daily running in Vermont winters primarily on gravel, through slush, snow, ice, and crud; based primarily on the outsole traction, Gore-Tex , and collar. Alas, there’s a strange seam in the heel-cup that makes it feel as if my heel is slipping out of the shoe on every stride, no matter what I do with the laces; and the collar is loose and floppy, doing nothing to keep moisture and debris out. Nike encouraged ordering a half-size up, and I regret doing so because there is no additional volume in the shoe, it’s just long and skinny and sloppy in the toe. There is no arch support, and the midsole is rock hard. It feels like running on cardboard, with no spring or energy return AT ALL. Between the terribly-designed heel, the poor fit, and the dead, clunky midsole, this is the worst running shoe I’ve worn in years. Nike is all about aesthetics, and no longer about performance (again, excepting their super shoes for racing), and I’m a sucker for liking the colorway and thinking, “I’ll give this a try.” Never again.

New Favorite Shoes

Great looking shoes that feels great too! Love them. They fit great and are lightweight. Very breathable too. 10 out of 10 for sure!
