Toe Box Too Tight

Was excited to try it out but unfortunately the toe box was just too tight had already sized up by 1/2 but no go had to return likely best for feet narrower than mine

It takes time to break into these shoes. It is way too tight around the mid to upper portion of the shoe. You will definitely feel a binding restriction for the first few days you walk with it. I went up a size and it’s still super tight. I didn’t have any issue with the 4 but the 5 is too tight. After I broke it in and the tight binding feel is gone it feels decent. It’s heavier and less soft than the 4.

Let Down.

I’ve been a Pegasus supporter for 20 yrs now. I had high hopes for this shoe after purchasing the Nike Pegasus Goretex 4’s, but was significantly disappointed. They were not nearly as comfortable. Way too tight around the top of my foot and also made me over supinate. That in itself was a recipe for some foot issues. My feet are wide, so I went a full size up and still didn’t help. These shoes are probably ideal for a narrow foot. I found some 4’s at the outlet praise God!

Looks Good, Go Up One Size.

Size runs really small. I have to go at least one size up. Narrow overall and heel cup is low cut so feels like foot will slip out. Really really squishy cushioning, maybe a bit too much. The rugged rubber sole is kind of soft and has openings where the cushioning is open, so not optimal for very rugged terrain. Nice materials overall. Looks nice in my opinion! Better than pictures.

Great Shoes For Any Weather

Wore these shoes for trail walking in the Yorkshire Dales (UK) through all sorts of weather including rain and hail and they were perfectly dry and extremely comfortable.

Shoes is too tight on the top area. I tried loosening the shoe laces thinking it will help but it doesn’t. I wanted to return the shoes but I don’t want to go to the hassle of returning it since i bought it online. I very disappointed on this shoes since I love my old trail 4.

Amazing Shoes, Snug Fit.

After owning 2 pairs of Pegasus 4 gore-Tex (men’s) trail running shoes, I decided to upgrade to the Pegasus 5 gore-Tex shoes. Same size and everything but the 5’s are tighter. My feet would start to hurt on the top as the gore-Tex lining seems too snug. I noticed it wasn’t an issue if I’m standing, but only when there’s no pressure on the soles (the soles compressed allowed enough room for my feet. I considered swapping out the inserts but after a while of use the sole compressed to allow enough room for my feet even when sitting. Despite the tight fit, these shoes are very comfortable and better than the Pegasus 4’s. Note that I don’t require wide shoes. Never had this issue until I got the 5’s. Got these in October (8 months ago). They seem very durable so far, the tread doesn’t seem too soft and wear quickly like the 4’s. I plan on buying these shoes again, but next time I’m going to plan a long hike to break them in faster. I’m guessing this only applies to the Pegasus 5’s with gore-Tex. Once broken in, these shoes are very comfortable!

High-quality Water Resistance, And Two Narrow Of A Toe Box

The shoe is great when it comes to handling the elements, especially rain, the cushion is good, but the biggest flaw in this shoe is the extremely narrow tow box

Squishy

Very odd fit and feel compared with previous generation shoe and most Nike shoes I’ve owned. The feeling of contact with the ground is “squishy” and the sole doesn’t rest flatly on the ground. I would not recommend. They are warm with the goretex and I wore them in cold weather.

Worn Out After 5 Months Of Just Regular Walking.

These shoes started out well. Comfortable, although a little tight, with good energy return making it feel as though I was being propelled. Unfortunately, after about 5 months of using them as just an everyday trainer (walking to and from work/shops) the tread has already worn out in places and the upper has holes in. These have not been put through any great strain and they're falling to bits after 5 months. They weren't exactly cheap either. I would not recommend these.

Good shoe, needed comfort for work, work at restaurant. Do alot of walking, shoe supports all the walking I do.

One Shoe Too Tight On Top Of Your Foot

The right shoe was perfect, the left shoe though was way too tight on the top of my foot, even with the shoe laces completely removed. Definitely wear them before you get rid of the box.

They are very comfortable with excellent gripping soles. They are slightly darker than in the photo, but that's okay.
