purchased from nike, not Dicks. But i have seen a lot of non-typical reviews that may dissuade someone from giving these shoes a chance. I have over 300 damage-free miles on these shoes and i am just now looking at getting a replacement pair. not due to damage, but just due to the zoomX foam losing its "springiness" which is typical for it over time. I started wearing these shoes coming from wearing nike free's for years and just wanted to give something else a try that is lightweight and without a carbon fiber plate. These shoes will not "destroy" your ankles if you are already adept to wearing a minimalist-style shoe. These are not true minimalist, but they are very lightweight, lighter than my minimalist shoes, and have a very low heel-toe drop. Both of these specs can compete with minimalist shoes. Coming from wearing minimalist shoes, my ankles, feet, and lower legs are strengthened to adapt to the less cushioning and stability. If you transition to these shoes straight from wearing "traditional" trainers, there will be an adjustment period and you may decide its not for you. That is not a knock on the shoe, but more of a characteristic of this style of shoe. I transitioned to these shoes pretty seamlessly from my Nike frees. Streakfly's are the lightest shoe Nike makes, and extremely flexible. Like wearing socks. This is what i look for in a shoe, and something to consider for anyone looking at giving these a try. It is a very fast shoe, but it will lose its responsiveness over time due to the exposed ZoomX foam. They can still be used when this happens though. I am not happy that Nike decided to add a carbon fiber plate to the new Streakfly's, although Nike did make the shoe even lighter. I uses these shoes as a daily trainer and do not want to run with a carbon fiber plate every time, this can cause injury. i am currently looking for deals on these shoes from other sellers because they are not for sale through Nike anymore and i want to pick up another pair before they are completely gone. Bottom line, if you are someone that is already used to wearing a lightweight, flexible shoe, with low drop, you should really give this shoe a try. If not, there will be a transition period before you can wear this shoe all the time. When i transitioned to minimalist, i went through several shoes of gradually decreasing weight and drop in order to let my body strengthen and acclimate.

Dear Nike, what the heck happened to quality? Why do I feel like durability was so much better a few years ago? The shoes are beautiful and aesthetically pleasing so 2 stars for that, they also do feel pretty good when running for me. But they have begun to fall apart after only a few runs… the foam on the sole has started to peel and I am probably gonna need to use some shoe goo. If you guys could up the durability and quality I’m sure profits would go up too. I hate having to shop other brands, Nike has always been my go to cause its simple and easy, but I might have to switch to Hokas if this continues and I really don’t want to.

one week sole ripped off shoe. Heels were uneven, this shoe was a possible defect. Disappointed because the colors are great.

A very comfortable, light and fast shoe.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable and create a spring-like effect, driving you to push off the ball of your foot.

Miraculously light shoe! Probably one of the best short-distance racing shoes on the market. Given their durability, I wouldn't use them as anything but racing/speedwork shoes. But for what they bring to the table I would definitely recommend them to anyone planning on speeding up their 5K times without a carbon-plate!

Absolute junk. I’ve been a Nike customer for years and after my recent Pegasus Turbos wore out from my marathon training, I thought I could try these renewable ones. Complete mistake. They felt very cheap and flimsy on my feet and the cushioning somehow made my feet feel worse? Do not buy, these are unusable.

I just bought my fourth pair. I wear them all the time, short sprints, long distance, ive worn my current pair throughout training for 2 half marathons and one half race. I guess they wear out quicker than average shoe but i keep running in them and rejecting my "normal" running shoes that give me calluses on my big toe. My only complaint is it's hard to get my size in the color i want. I get compliments on the neon yellow ones. Just got the guava bc that's all i could find in my size. Make more!

One of my favourite racing shoes. I find this price balance between minimal and comfy, lightness, responsiveness. Big fan. Gone through like 4 pairs already. And yes it does not last long being a racer, but the glue could be a bit stronger. Also find this show good for longer runs too (regularly do 15-20 miles), but I am quite used to minimal shoes…

I use these shoes for track work outs. They are Incredibly light but do lack a lot of padding. The ZoomX foam is open on the back end so it is less durable than it could be. They are perfect for short workouts and high pace runs. Would not recommend for anything more than a 5k race though.

This is the perfect minimalist shoe with just the right amount of cushion - not too much and not too little. It's extremely lightweight and breathable and the toe box is adequately wide enough. They are also the perfect shoe to travel with and pack well in your luggage. Runs true to size - go with your usual pegasus or vaporfly size. They look great, too. I get a ton of compliments every time I wear this shoe! I use these for jogging, walking, and HIIT workouts. Please do not discontinue this shoe!

Very uncomfortable in arch area with hard mesh there. Returned the shoes.

This shoe is the perfect 5k/10k race shoe. I ran a 5k PB in my last race and looking g forward to racing in it again. This shoe disappears on your feet. I did use the runner's loop to get a good heel lock. I noticed the Streakfly 2 will be quite different from this design (adding a plate, heavier), so I'll probably order an extra pair or two.

Wonderful shoe, 90% of the benefits of a carbon plated shoe for half the price. Light and responsive. Fantastic for 5km and 10km tempo runs and races.
