Superb Layer

Super lightweight. Great layer for the first few miles of chilly runs.

Useless In Rain

The weight is awesome, it looks great, and feels great... until it starts raining. I was out jogging in light rain for about 20 minutes ang got completely drenched. The description says the shoulders and arms were designed to be more water-repellent, but they aren't at all from the runs I've used it in. Don't know if I'm going to keep it around, try to sell it, or contact Nike about it. Never been this disappointed with one of their products before.

Decent Running/workout Jacket For Warmer Months. No Pockets!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this jacket for a month, I can say that it is a decent jacket. The jacket is extremely lightweight, has great ventilation, and is packable so you can take it anywhere with you when you're on a long run. However, I must point out that this jacket is not meant to keep you warm when you're casually walking or outside. It is a good layer to have when you're doing an intense run or workout outside. It keeps me a bit insulated without overheating and needing to take the jacket off. But using it for low-impact workouts (like walking) during a dewy morning or cold evening isn't the best idea. You will get cold. Considering the high price point, especially given many people's tight budgets, I can't justify this price. Yes, the fabric is great, lightweight, and water-repellent. But I can't help but think how thin and delicate this fabric feels. This jacket also does NOT have pockets, which is a design choice I question. I understand if they excluded the pocket to prevent ripping since the fabric is thin and lightweight. But I think pockets are essential, especially if you're running and want a place to store your phone or wallet. I'll continue to use this product through the summer when I train for my half marathon since it could come in handy. If anything changes, I'll update my review.

Light As A Feather

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Performance is the key word. If you're looking for a light weight on the go jacket for those initial foggy crisp mornings, throw this on. The hood makes a great addition when it's wet or dewy out and you need a fast cover. It's easy to pack away in the middle of your hike once it starts to get warm, but it is clutch when making your ascent in the early hours before sunrise. I think the pockets are what make this particular jacket efficient. I want to carry a few more things on me without having to pack a fanny pack, so this jacket is light enough to throw on, put your phone, headphone case, sunblock stick, even some other essentials, then tie around your waist if it gets too hot. Keep in mind it is truly light and thin. It is not going to be your fuzzy cozy jacket that has a lining to keep you extra warm. It holds up against certain elements, but not going to help you survive weather that dips below 60 especially if you are not layering up underneath. I also used this as a rain protectant especially on those random days here in CA where it was light showers and muggy out earlier in the day, but would get a little warm in the afternoon. You want something to cover up with that is non absorbent, and you will not be over-heating in this. If you like to hike and/or trail run, mountain bike, in all types of climates, this jacket will come in handy. It breathes and its cut for performance. But it can also be an everyday wear. I can see golfers layer up with this over their fit before hitting the range/18-hole. I think that early in the morning it is an athletic fit that provides protection against both sun and rain. I can see both men and women liking this jacket with the adjustable neck and the ability to layer up. If this came in other colors I think it would be a bigger hit. Perhaps a darker grey/black combo or even a neon green for those night runners.
