Nike Men's Vomero 18 Running Shoes

About This Item

    What Our Experts Are Saying:

""The Nike Vomero 18 is built like a luxury cruiser—plush ZoomX + ReactX cushioning makes every step feel soft and smooth, especially on long, easy miles. On the days that I know I have to get the miles in and I’m just not feeling it (we all have been there) I slip on my Vomero’s and within a few steps they help change my mood to enjoy my run! It’s not light or fast, but it delivers serious comfort and surprising stability for a high-stack trainer. The step-in feel is premium, with padded collars and a secure fit that hugs your foot like it means it. Breathability isn’t its strong suit, but with cooler temps creeping in, that cozy upper feels right on time. If you want max comfort, this is your go-to plush ride."" - Peter, Running Expert at DICK'S Sporting Goods Jacksonville, Florida

Great Shoe

I bought this because I am on my feet 9 hours a day on a concrete floor. This shoe is super comfortable and has stopped my knee pain.

Outstanding Plush Short, Neutral And Worth The $ And The Heft.

I used my first pair of Vomeros last year where the second half of the Hennepin 100. This is a truly outstanding shoe, as plus as they come. Ended up using these for a summer of relatively high mileage training. (50-80 miles/week) and I found that they were forgiving enough to keep me going mile after a mile. Compared to my other shoes, and I typically use Brooks Hyperion Max 2s, I found it the neutral and plus right of these issues made up for their relative heft. I thought at first that their overall somewhat bulky size was going to be a problem, but it really wasn’t at all. Quite the contrary, I was able to run much further in these than it was in the much snappier Hyperions. I will note that the sole of this shoe is relatively minimalist and does not hold up particularly well to the high miles, but on road and path surfaces this was a non-issue. See images. I don’t bring this up as a knock against the shoe, but worth mentioning. I believe that the newer version has the option of an upgraded sole, which I would recommend assuming they are more bomber than the original sole.

Not Just For Running

I bought these for Pump class. I thought the thicker sole would help my knees during squats and lunges. I wore them for the first time today and they were absolutely brilliant. Not just the heel that is cushioned but the whole foot. I usually wear Metcon’s or air max but these are far far better. Walking in them takes a few mins to get used to but I will definitely be buying another pair

Too High For Me.

I have worn every Vomero model since the beginning. Some are better than others. Depends on your own individual preferences. My favorite was the Vomero 17.Just perfection.Lots of toe room and plenty of cushion.Holds my thinner heel in. Sadly they changed the model quite a bit.The Vomero 18 is super padded.Like I am walking on marshmellows. That is where the praise stops. They tapered the front of the sneaker. The 17 was rounded this one is much more tapered.Don't understand why.People have larger feet these days.My own foot is thin. It is just too high.I feel they are better for walking. The height gives me the stilt effect when I run.No not an improvement for me. I see the reviews.I won't be buying 10 pair like I did with the 17.

Most Comfortable Shoe To Walk On!

I liked the first pair so much I bought a second. They are the best to walk on but the uppers do wear on your ankles more than my other shoes do. Wish they were a slip on!

Sheena4

I brought 4 pairs of t he these shoes and 3 of them are defective and the 1st pair I returned due to the side of the sneaker the foam piece came off and my 2nd pair when stepping the sole makes a popping noise and my 3rd pair the whole side of the foam piece just came off and I only returned 1 and I feel like they should replace them and give me a discount on a new pair of sneakers
