Wore these backpacking for a 5-day trip in wilderness area of Grand Canyon National Park. They helped carry a heavy backpack (60+ pounds) and also helped move fast on day hikes with a lighter load. They handled steep, rocky, slippery scree terrain with plenty of grip. I loved how cushy they were and their comfy fit meant no blisters.

The collaboration Nike did with Vibram gives you the feel of an Ibex mountain Goat climbing jumping/climbing up and down from large rocks. Highly recommend to anyone who loves to feel in control on tough terrain.

Highly recommended!!! Took my new Nikes on a 7 mile trail walk right away. Absolutely no problems!

Grip is fantastic and the foam is comfortable and responsive. The fit takes a bit, but is phenomenal once broken in. I put over 400 miles on these (almost all moderate-technical trails and primarily used during longer runs) during a train up and 100-mile race. Finally threw them away after the race. I’d like to see a little more rock protection on the toes, but I love this shoe.

I purchased these Nike Zegama 2 Men's Trail Running Shoes in May and have been disappointed with their performance and materials. After only about five months of ownership and very light, casual use (I haven't even taken them on a proper trail run), the shoes are already falling apart. The foam on the sides is beginning to deteriorate and peel in spots, and the tread on the bottom has worn down significantly. For a shoe designed for the rigors of trail running and with a premium price tag, this lack of durability after only light use is unacceptable. I cannot recommend them for anything more than occasional errands, which defeats the purpose of a trail shoe. On the positive side, the overall fit and comfort are decent. However, they run a little narrow and small, so I was fortunate to have read other reviews and chose a half size larger than my usual, which worked out. The decent fit and comfort (achieved only by sizing up) are the only upsides to an otherwise disappointing purchase. The fact that the foam and tread are failing after just five months of casual wear is a serious quality control issue. Until the durability is dramatically improved, I cannot recommend the Nike Zegama 2; they are simply not built to last and are overpriced for what you get.
