I purchased these Nike Zegama 2 Men's Trail Running Shoes in May and have been disappointed with their performance and materials. After only about five months of ownership and very light, casual use (I haven't even taken them on a proper trail run), the shoes are already falling apart. The foam on the sides is beginning to deteriorate and peel in spots, and the tread on the bottom has worn down significantly. For a shoe designed for the rigors of trail running and with a premium price tag, this lack of durability after only light use is unacceptable. I cannot recommend them for anything more than occasional errands, which defeats the purpose of a trail shoe. On the positive side, the overall fit and comfort are decent. However, they run a little narrow and small, so I was fortunate to have read other reviews and chose a half size larger than my usual, which worked out. The decent fit and comfort (achieved only by sizing up) are the only upsides to an otherwise disappointing purchase. The fact that the foam and tread are failing after just five months of casual wear is a serious quality control issue. Until the durability is dramatically improved, I cannot recommend the Nike Zegama 2; they are simply not built to last and are overpriced for what you get.

Very comfortable shoe, feels just right on my foot. They actually felt better once I had them on for about 30 minutes or so. I'm using them for more as a walking shoe since I'm on my feet quite a bit. Shoe as has style and flare.

I've churned through 3 pair of the Zegama 2 in the last year. I use them for trail running and mountain climbing. Live in Utah. Three times up Lone Peak this summer, wore them up Capitol peak in CO in August. Comfortable out of the box. I like the 4mm heel-to-toe drop. They beat up quickly. The sole starts to peel back -- especially in the rear -- pretty dependably after 5-6 big runs. The shoe needs full coverage on the otherwise outstanding vibram sole -- there's a gap where I consistently hit obstacles in the trail and feel the impact on my foot. More durability and full coverage on the outsole? Then five stars. Good not great product. Though I've gone back to the well, can't recommend based on price point and durability concerns.

So far I have hiked/ran 80 hard miles in these. I’ve used them to summit Black Elk Peak, Middle Teton, and Medicine Bow Peak. I looked at others reviews about midsole pain so I bought Dr Foot heel lifts ahead of time and had no pain whatsoever. Obviously buying additional support shouldn’t be necessary, but with the heel lifts I absolutely love everything about these shoes.

Awesome shoe, just wore them for my first 50 miler. Soft ride on uneven root filled single track. Only downside is the back rubbed my ankles and caused blisters.
