Nike Mercurial Vapor 17 Academy Multi-ground Low-top Soccer Cleats

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would rate these cleats a 3.1 out of 5. The first thing that caught my eye was the design. They’re definitely a good-looking pair of cleats. The colorway is clean, they have a sleek profile, and they look fast just sitting there. Nike always does a great job creating shoes that stand out on the field. The fit was true to size, but the overall feel wasn’t as comfortable as I expected. They fit more snug than I prefer, and after wearing them for a while, I noticed they didn’t provide the level of comfort I was hoping for. Performance-wise, they did what they were supposed to do, but I found myself thinking more about the fit than the game. The quality of the materials felt solid. They seem well-made and durable, and I like that they still feel lightweight without feeling cheap. The construction gives me confidence that they’ll hold up well over time. What I liked most was the overall design and appearance. They’re stylish, lightweight, and definitely catch your attention. If I could change one thing, it would be to add a little more cushioning and make the fit slightly more forgiving. A bit more comfort would make a huge difference, especially for players wearing them for longer games or practices. Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3.1/5) These cleats have great style and solid quality, but the comfort just didn’t quite match the look. If Nike added a little more cushioning, they’d be an easy favorite.

Good But Not Perfect Low Top

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the chance to test out the Nike Mercurial Vapor 17 Academy Multi-Ground Low-Top Soccer Cleats, and overall I really enjoyed playing in them. Because these are the low-top model, they felt a little bit looser than what I’m used to. I was hesitant because I usually like my cleats to have a tighter, more grippy feel. On the field they performed really well. I was still able to make quick cuts and turns and fast movements without feeling like the cleats were weighing me down. The materials also felt really good. They didn’t feel super premium, but they were comfortable and felt durable. I didn’t feel any discomfort in the couple of games I played in them. If I could change one thing, I’d add maybe add a lace loop or customizable tongue-lacing option. I think having something to adjustment the tightness would let players decide how much grip they want. It could be a nice feature for people like me who prefer a snugger, tighter fit. Overall, I think these are good cleats. They're not my most favorite ever, but I’ll keep wearing them for both practices and matches as a reliable 2nd option.

Nice But Run Very Small

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a size 9 in these cleats, and I wish so badly that I sized up because they are so nice! The cleats run very small, I’d say by at least a full size. My husband usually wears a size 9 in cleats, and he couldn’t even get his foot in. If he was an 8- these would be perfect. I would also take into consideration the sock thickness you plan to wear with these. He doesn’t wear thick soccer socks, but if he did, he would have had to size up about 1.5 sizes. The cleats themselves are extremely aesthetically pleasing. The neon green against the black is beautiful and would look great on turf or any green grass. The contrast is great. The quality is on par with the Nike brand, but unfortunately I can’t review on comfort level or how they do on different ground since we couldn’t try them on.

Great Pair Of Cleats!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like these Nike Mercurial Vapor 17 Academy Multi-Ground Low-Top Soccer Cleats. They have a sleek, stylish look that makes them stand out on the field without being too flashy. I love the streamlined design and how clean they look when you’re wearing them. They’re also super lightweight, which I really appreciate when I’m running around and making quick movements. They don’t feel bulky or heavy at all, so it’s easy to move comfortably and naturally. The fit is comfortable and feels secure on my feet, even during longer practices or games. I also like that they give me the support I need without sacrificing that lightweight feel. They’re easy to wear and don’t take long to feel comfortable in, which is always a plus with new cleats. Overall, these cleats are a great mix of style, comfort, and a lightweight feel. They look great, feel great, and make it easy to stay comfortable and focused while playing. Definitely a great option for anyone looking for a new pair of soccer cleats!

Nike Mercurial Vapor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Mercurial Vapor 17 Academy Multi-Ground cleats fit true to size and felt lightweight and comfortable. They performed well during quick movements and provided good traction and a secure fit throughout play. I liked the bright colorway and the overall design. The textured upper gave me good touch and control on the ball, and the materials felt durable while still being flexible. Compared to the Elite version, these don’t have quite the same premium feel, but they’re a great alternative for the price. If I could change one thing, I’d make the upper a little softer. Overall, they’re a solid, comfortable pair of cleats that offer good performance and value.

Versatile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The multi-ground performance of these cleats is impressive. It has been a seamless transition using them across different surfaces, and they are incredibly easy to put on for workouts, matches, and practicing on turf. I prefer the Vapors because they always fit true to size, feature a great design, and provide excellent ball control. I highly recommend these cleats for summer use. When it rains, ball control becomes significantly more difficult, which is true for most cleats but particularly noticeable with this pair. If I could change one thing, I would add more cushion to the heel, as that area became irritated during runs.

Cleats

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These cleats felt lightweight as soon as I put them on. They never felt bulky, so it was easy to move quickly and change direction. The upper gave me a nice close touch on the ball, and the traction felt solid on both natural grass and artificial turf, especially when accelerating or making quick cuts. The low-cut design also kept them feeling secure without restricting movement. The fit is definitely snug, which I personally liked because it gave the cleats a locked-in feel. If you have wider feet or prefer a little more room, I'd recommend going up half a size since they do run narrow. I got the pair with the black upper, green Swoosh, and green studs on the outsole. It isn't the color I normally would've picked since I usually like brighter cleats, but that's just personal preference. The black upper hides dirt well, and the green accents stand out more in person than they do in the photos. Overall, I think these are a great value if you're looking for a lightweight speed boot without paying for the Elite version. They're comfortable, responsive, and perform well on both natural grass and turf.

Vapor’s Are Undefeated

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Solid pair of cleats to wear on firm ground fields. Didn’t feel any discomfort and didn’t feel my foot slip inside the boot. I normally wear a 9.5 and these felt slightly tight, I’d recommend getting a .5 size up for a more tire to size feel. The upper felt good and had a decent touch on the ball. They are light and thin but still felt comfortable throughout the practice sessions. The tongue felt secure and snug and did not move around at all while shooting the ball. Overall a solid pair of cleats.

Awesome "Beater" Budget, Practice Cleat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really good, "beater" pair of cleats for kickarounds and practice. Very budget-friendly. The first thing that stands out is the weight -- as light as it gets. No frills -- classic low-top, standard laces. Just everything that's always worked. Runs slightly snug, but snug is good for soccer... but if you are in between sizes, maybe go up 1/2 a size. This thing is built for speedy players -- ideally for wingers. The NikeSkin is great for your touch and shooting. I also love how incredibly light the cleat plate is. The stud pattern also works for pretty much any type of graass as well, making it so versatile. I also love the look of this shoe. Screams speed. Color way is simple but still sick. Highly recommend if you're looking for a pair of practice cleats to complement your game pair. I wouldn't even mind wearing this in game as well. Just really good "bang for buck" value here.

Nike Mercurial Vapor 17 Academy Multi-ground Low-top

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fit & Feel: The fit is snug and secure, though they do come up a bit tight, particularly around the toe box. After a while, it can feel like your toes are being squeezed, so I'd recommend going up half a size, or even a full size if you prefer a bit more room. Design: They have a sleek, aerodynamic design that looks sharp on the pitch. They're stylish without being too flashy and definitely have that fast, modern look Nike is known for. Fabric & Materials: They are light, they feel great on foot without compromising durability, making them well suited for regular use across multiple playing surfaces. Performance & Final Thoughts: Performance-wise, the lightweight build helps with quick movements and changes of direction. That said, the tight fit does become noticeable over longer sessions. Personally, I'd probably keep these for a kickabout or casual pickup matches rather than a full 90 minutes. Overall, they're a smart-looking, lightweight, and durable pair of boots, but I'd definitely recommend sizing up for a more comfortable fit.

5 Star Shorts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been looking for a baggy fit pair of shorts for a long time and these fit the bill. Fit around my waist perfectly with enough length that I feel great about. And with the Nike tech material it is very light and airy. If they made these in other colors I would be the first in line.

Great Introductory And Kick-around Boots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Mercurial Vapor 17 Academy Multi-Ground cleats are great all-around cleats for practice, kicking around, or just as introductory cleats. They are super lightweight and have a very firm grip into the pitch. These boots provide a lot of stability and traction when pivoting and maneuvering, they have a surprisingly high-tech feel for a more introductory level cleat. I enjoy using these for practice and for skirmishes with friends. I find these a little tight in my left toe, which makes them a little better for shorter games and more casual play. You may want to try these on first before purchase, just to make sure you have the right feel in your step.

Mercurial Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I opened these soccer cleats I was pumped to see how stylish they were. I’ve had lots of soccer cleats in my 15 years of play and these were some of the best looking. Onto comfort, these were VERY comfy. These cleats hugged the foot perfectly, not much room on the end of the toe and very snug around the foot, especially for a guy with moderately thin feet. The pattern of the upper feels great when kicking a ball and I felt really helped with control. I found these cleats to be some of the best not just from a style standpoint but also from a usage standpoint. Extra points for the cool insole.

Great Mercurials

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Mercurial Vapor 17 Academy Multi-Ground Low-Top Soccer cleats were a great cleat to wear. The first thing I loved about the shoes is just how lightweight they are. After running around the field, I didn’t feel dragged down by them. The second thing I liked about the shoes was the fit. They fit snug and give me a locked down feeling without making my foot feel squeezed which is a plus for me. I also like the color way! The all black with the green swoosh looked really nice on foot. Overall I give this shoe a 10/10 and would be something I recommend to all

Lightweight Cleats

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable cleats that fit true to size. I really appreciate how lightweight they are. The tongue has small flaps on the sides which are great for really tucking everything in and lacing up but makes it slightly more tedious to put on. Otherwise I’m enjoying this pair and the black and green color-way.
