Runs Small
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I couldn't get my foot in the cleat to even fully try it on. It was my size. I also previously had success with the same phantom cleats but those were low. So I will say that I am confused and disappointed by the sizing. With that being said, I did give them to somebody who is about 1 or 2 sizes smaller, and he loves them. I asked about the performance and feel, and he said they are comfortable, especially around the heels, and feel far superior to standard cleats, that moving forward he'd make sure to invest in designs such as the Phantom 6 high. He had mentioned his ankles feel a bit sweaty but the trade off of feeling extra stability was worth it.

Love, Love, Lovin’ The Cleats!
These cleats were the hit of Christmas! My grandson loves the style, color and feel of the cleats. We had to trade for a bigger size, and Dick’s made it effortless which made us all happy.

Not Quite There
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Phantom 6 High Academy FG/MG is the lowest-tier model in the Phantom 6 line. Although it provides basic functionality for casual or beginner players, it falls short in several important areas. Its high-cut collar offers minimal ankle security, but the overall construction lacks the responsiveness and precision needed for competitive play. The synthetic textured upper delivers limited ball control, feeling stiff and unrefined compared to the higher-tier model, and it does not conform well to the foot. While the FG/MG plate is suitable for both firm ground and artificial surfaces, its traction and stability are noticeably underwhelming, especially during fast-paced movement. Comfort and durability also present issues: although the cleat breaks in quickly, it offers little support, and its materials tend to wear down faster than expected. Overall, the Phantom 6 High Academy FG/MG is a budget-friendly option. Still, its low-tier build, weak performance, and reduced longevity make it a poor choice for serious athletes seeking quality and reliability.

My New Favorite Cleats, No Contest
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve put a good amount of time in these cleats now, and I’m honestly really impressed. The fit hit the sweet spot for me—snug enough to feel locked-in when I’m cutting or accelerating, but not tight in a way that causes pressure points. The heel stays secure, and the upper molds to the foot after just a couple sessions, so they start feeling broken-in pretty quickly. The design is one of my favorite parts. They look sharp without being too flashy, and the shaping around the ankle gives good support without feeling stiff or restricting. The overall silhouette feels fast, and the grip pattern gives solid traction on both firm ground and multi-ground surfaces. The fabric/upper is light but still feels durable. The texture on the upper gives a nice touch on the ball, especially when receiving or placing passes. Even after several practices, the material hasn't stretched out or softened in a way that changes the fit—just enough to make them comfortable. What I liked most was the balance: they feel supportive but still lightweight, and they move naturally with your foot. If I could change one thing, it would be adding just a bit more cushioning under the insole for long training sessions, but it’s minor and didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed wearing them. Overall, these quickly became my go-to cleats. They fit well, perform well, look great, and held up better than I expected. I’d absolutely keep using them.
