Good Field Shoe

I originally thought this was the next SFB B‑series boot, not realizing Nike currently makes three different military models. The uppers look similar at first glance, but the outsole and overall platform make it clear this is its own design. One drawback that carries over from the B2 is the rope‑style lacing, which tends to fray once the reinforcement wears down and affects long‑term durability. Outside of that, the Jungle Boot 2 shows real improvements: it’s lightweight, breathable, handles weather changes well, and provides strong traction. It also locks down my foot better than the B2, where I usually need an insole. Where the Jungle Boot 2 differs most is in responsiveness and impact absorption. It doesn’t have the same explosive, athletic feel as the B2, but it delivers a more grounded, stable ride that fits its intended purpose. After a break‑in period, it performs exactly how a field‑focused boot should. For rucks, patrols, and mission environments where stability, breathability, and weight matter, the SFB Jungle Boot 2 is the right tool for the job. It’s not my top choice for everyday comfort or high‑mobility/impact tasks but it is a solid choice for the field or tactical environments.

Better Options Out There

Great boot but the rope eyelets broke less than 6months wearing them. Disappointed due the cost of the boot to get a cheaply made product. I hope the co owner (who is also veteran) will look into this.

Nice Boots, Runs A Bit Small

Great looking boot, unfortunately runs small. I have always been a size 13 in all the nike sfb except for these.

Best boots for field and tactical training, they’re light and comfortable. Only downside is the eyelets tend to break and wear down the fastest. Other than that great pair of boots my second purchase and overall my top pick for field environments.

Perfect 5/7

These are fantastic! Comfortable straight out of the box. The canvas upper is very flexible and isn’t too stiff, but still provides plenty of support when laced up. The toe box does sit a little lower compared to (5 year old, worn in) SFB Field 2. Additionally, compared to the SFB Field 2, over all the boot is more narrow, which for me is a good thing. It holds my heel more securely and my toes have less wiggle room. The combination of canvas with the lacing system in the mid-foot and up to the top of the boot gives my arches and ankles structure, but also flexibility. There a lot off bulk up top as well, when compared to the SFB Field 2. I haven’t put them through the wringer yet, so I can’t speak to their performance through inclement weather, or extended rucks, but so far they’re great. They fit time to size in length and width.
