Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Construction I bought these toward the end of school season and only played a few games in them. I continued to wear them for the beginning of club season, but only 3 tournaments into the season, I noticed that BOTH soles had large cracks directly under the metatarsals. The laces are also falling apart, there is a hole right beside my pinky toe on both sides, and the inside of the heel is all torn up. Before these I had the Hyperspikes, which lasted and entire summer training season, school season, and club season before I replaced them. I'm exceedingly disappointed with the overall construction of these, and I wouldn't reccomend to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Update to Zoom Hyper Spike Bought these for my daughter who plays outside and back row. She had just come back from a broken ankle and she needed more lateral stability in her shoe. The Zoom HyperAce delivered. The forefoot out-rigger/ wrap really added a lot of stability to the base of her foot and lessened the stress on her ankle. The low profile Zoom Air unit provided lightweight cushioning. Great update to the HyperSpike. My only criticism is that Nike should make the insole fully removable (not glue it in the shoe). Otherwise, the HyperAce is a great update to Hyper Spike. Now if theyd just bring back the Foot Digs for sand play... ;-) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good Both of my daughters have LOVED the old hyperspike Nike shoe, so when this shoe came out we bought it. Daughter number 1 wore them for her school season, but has since told me she hates them. They are very uncomfortable. She is now back to wearing her old hyperspike volleyball shoes. Daughter number 2 had the shoes 2 weeks and the shoes laces broke right before a game. We replaced them with a better shoelace, and they have lasted. Today for a club tournament she went to put them on, and there was a huge crack in the traction (rubber) right where if she was on her toes the shoes would bend. We bought both pairs of shoes right before school season. Also I will say that these shoes are NEVER worn other than on the court. Really disappointed! Glad they can still wear their old hyperspike Nike shoes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Digs into the Foot This shoe felt great in the store. But after wearing it for a couple of practices, my daughter's foot started to hurt terribly. The white rubber support / trim on the outside of the shoe comes to a point right at the joint where the pinkie toe meets the foot. This point digs into the foot. So, this minor style feature impedes the comfort and performance of the athlete in a major way. Another girl on her team also had this same problem but worked through it. We should not have to "work through" a problem like this! We will probably return this shoe and buy another brand that is not so poorly designed. It's a shame because it fit her foot so nicely, and Nike has had a good reputation in the athletic footwear space. But stupid design flaws like this indicate that they are not testing their designs adequately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Volleyball shoes #1 buy them! Third year in a row buying the Nike volleyball shoe. Used for Club volleyball as well as High School volleyball. While there have been teams that become tempted by certain fashions of the high top. We have always considered our front row players need to wear ankle braces. And year in and year out these shoes always have the right size and are perfectly worn with braces when needed. They hold true and dont break down fast. I have never had a pair that have been worn out, only new pairs for each new team. These are the most comfortable pair I have had. The coloring and pattern looks great in person and from across the court. I always look forward to my next pair. I have used other brands but I prefer Nike. Plus I need size 14 which Nike always accommodates my size as well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ugh Major Drawback to These These shoes have one big design flaw: on the black pair the rubber sole is half black and half white but the white side has just had a thin layer of white painted over the black rubber underneath. As a libero my daughter is diving and dragging her feet across the ground a lot and after 1 month there are big black spots all over the white side where the white has rubbed off to reveal the black underneath. It looks HORRIBLE and I can't believe that anyone that actually researched how volleyball is played would design a shoe that way. This shoe purchase was a major FAIL for us and now my daughter is stuck with a horrible looking pair of shoes for school and club ball. The previous style shoe was much better. Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Style has Some Improvements Needed to replace my daughters vball shoes for her growing feet. She had the Nike Hyperspike style from last season, which were great and she found very comfortable. The new Zoom style is lighter weight, more like a running shoe than the previous vball style. It does, however, have more "sole": wider at the ball of the foot for lateral movement and the back of the heel. They do run small: she wears an 8 1/2 in Nike running shoe, but in this she needed to size up to a 9 1/2. I would say definitely over a half size short. Not sure about durability, but she seems to grow out of them by the time they start wearing out, so that works for me! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks great, but feels the complete opposite I had my eye on these shoes in white for a while now and when they came in the mail before my high school tryouts, I was so excited. After putting them on, I noticed a few things. First off, they were pretty narrow around the middle of the foot which was good for me because I have narrow feet. Secondly, the whole shoe wasn’t the same shade of white like I thought it would be. In the picture, the whole shoe looks snow white, but some parts are actually more cream colored or pastel yellow. (Note: this cannot be noticed from a distance and was not the reason I didn't like these shoes) When I started moving around, my foot felt extremely secure even though the size I ordered was too big for me. However, the white wave / trim on the outside of the shoe comes to a point right at where the pinkie toe meets the foot and digs into the foot. This causes discomfort and makes wearing these shoes pretty painful. No matter how much I loved the look of them, I had to return them and I had no volleyball shoes for my high school tryouts.
