Good Shoe With Some Quirks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these new interact run shoes from Nike and I like them with some caveats. Color and design: I loved the color of the white and peach. I’m not sure how long it’ll stay clean since I can never keep my shoes clean for long but it’s beautiful! The only problem with the color is that the holes on the top part of the shoe has holes and if I wear socks that aren’t light, then it’ll show and contrast which I don’t like. I love how the sole looks with the aggressive cut out and the large swoosh on side. Fit and feel: the shoes fit very well and are true to size. I am normally a size 8 in sneakers and this feels great with no slipping out of the heel. I also normally have kind of wide feet and these fit very well across the width. When you initially put them on, they are a bit stiff and the inside cushion does not feel comfy and cushioned to me. For normal walks and light treadmill work that I did with them, they were alright but I prefer more premium cushioning in my sneakers. Fabric: When I first felt the fabric, my first thought was that they are very stiff and rough. It feels like a burlap material! I would not want to wear this without socks because of that. The fabric near the top of my toes have holes which I don’t like. But it makes it light and airy. After wearing the shoes a bit, they break in pretty quickly and are comfortable enough, but this does not have enough cushion for me to wear for long distances. I will always have to be mindful that I need to wear white socks if i don’t want the color of my socks to show through the holes in the shoe.

Value For Casual Runner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The run: there is a bit of spring in the heel but it is so isolated from the midsole that it’s a slightly disconcerting ride. This plus the 10mm drop means I can see it being a real pro for heel strikers, not my cup of tea, and for anyone looking for a really plush ride throughout this isn’t the shoe. I run some varied terrain and average 50mi weeks and I’d keep these on the road as there is not much grip. Out of the box I did not love the look of this shoe. The Flyknit doesn’t look luxe nor does it seem to match the sole. Overall impression was a grandma shoe. Fit is great, and I do have a narrow foot so I love a snug upper. I went with my typical 8, a half size up from my street shoes. The value here is for a casual mid distance road runner or just daily life.

Uncomfortable For Running

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Interact Run Women's Road Running Shoes are very stylish and breathable. I think these shoes would be fine for walking but I found them to be incredibly uncomfortable to use for running. The bottom of the shoe is very stiff and I feel like it didn't have any bend to it. These shoes also lack arch support. I expected these to hug my foot and give support but they did not. I thought that I might just have to run in them for a little bit to get them to feel better but they did not and caused me to be awkward while running. I felt like my feet were just stomping on the road because there was no bounce or give to these. They are a beautiful shoe and I really do like the colors and styling. After several bad running experiences with these, I did use them for walking and felt like that was a much better fit. In order to improve this shoe for running, they need to add arch support and make the sole more flexible. If you are looking for a shoe that hugs your foot, gives it support and helps you get the best run of your life, I suggest you look elsewhere.
