The 90s Are Swishing Back…

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You’ll never sneak up on anyone while wearing these pants! The swishing noise brings me back to a similar, but more colorful outfit that I wore in middle school in the early 90s. Maybe because of that, I appreciate the asymmetrical design on the front and back of these pants. I’d love to see other, brighter colorways— you could really have fun with some neon pastels or vivid summer colors. I followed the size chart and ordered an XL, which I am in most leggings and jeans. I’m 5’6” and 185 lbs, with a slight apron belly from having 4 babies. These fit at least half a size large, and it’s possible I could have gotten away with a L. The inseam is around 30”. The unstretched waist is 19” flat, and stretched is 25”. The hip measures 28” flat, and the inseam is around 13”. They advertise these as a midrise , and I’d have to agree. The waist goes up only to my bellybutton. When uncinched, the pant legs are quite large, and reminiscent of a popular brand of wide legged skater jeans in the later 90s that have recently made a pricey comeback. While I appreciate the drawstring at the hem of the pant legs, I wish there was a plastic toggle or something to help cinch it tighter instead of tying a bow. I may add one myself later. As a style I’d not necessarily pick for myself, I find I’m having fun wearing these and plan to wear them over my staple leggings when lifting weights or hiking. The weave of this fabric is very tight, and I have hopes it can stand up to some brush and brambles when walking the dogs in our Michigan woods.

Weird Fabric. Feels Very 90's.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually love Nike products, especially their sneakers and activewear, but these pants don’t live up to the brand’s usual standards. The main issue is the fabric—it feels like thin, rustling parachute material, which makes the pants uncomfortable to wear. I’m not sure when or where to wear them: they’re too hot for warm weather and too cold for cooler temperatures, since they have no lining. Plus, they make an unpleasant noise when you walk. I think this model might appeal to fashion-forward people who want to channel ‘90s style, but it’s not suitable for everyone.

Comfy And Lightweight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the color of the pants. The grey/black color scheme makes it easy to style with the rest of my wardrobe. Another plus are the deep pockets! The material feels more like a thin, lightweight rain pant, and it seems durable. The loose fitting allows for plenty of movement with options to adjust the waist and ankles. This would be a great pant for layers underneath. The material likes to crinkle and make a swishing noise when I walk, so I'm definitely not going to be in stealth mode with these on. I usually wear a women's pant size medium 9-10, (I am 5'4" and 130lbs), but these mediums were very baggy, oversized in the leg and the inseam was a bit too long. A small would have been more suitable.

Wide Leg Sporty Chic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Sportswear Street Woven Open-Hem Pants are great for a casual sporty or athleisure look. They have a stylish balloon fit that feels trendy and yet is super comfortable. I opted to run errands in these over my typical sweatpant and felt more put together. The pants are lightweight with a windbreaker style material and are perfect for ths January weather, however they probably would be great as a weatherproof pant as well. I especially love the cute ties at the bottom, which add a fun, adjustable detail. Be aware as the bottom of these pants do balloon out quite far and although I tend to wear size Large, I could have sized down to a Medium in these. Overall pretty cute for sporty look and easy to throw on.

Nike Sportswear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Sportswear Street Women's Woven Open-Hem Pants were reminiscent of my childhood windbreaker era but unfortunately they were not to my liking now. Overall, the fabric was uncomfortable unless you layer them with a softer pant underneath, which is good in the winter but wouldn’t be great in the summer. Unfortunately, I felt like the marshmallow man in them because they were so oversized and puffy. They are very noisy, so don’t wear these on any top-secret endeavors. I liked the color and that the overall fit was adjustable and I can see it being comfortable for some, especially if the noisy, scratchy material could be changed. I think this style would be more popular with todays youth who have no experience with the windbreaker era. I really wanted to like these but I feel like this style should stay retired.
