About This Item

Maximum cushioning in the Vomero provides a comfortable ride for everyday runs. Nike's softest, most cushioned ride has lightweight ZoomX foam stacked on top of responsive ReactX foam in the midsole. Plus, a redesigned traction pattern offers a smooth heel-to-toe transition.

What's New:

  • The overstuffed feel of Nike ZoomX and Nike ReactX foam combine for the first time in one midsole: One for durability and response, the other for next-level softness
  • With a 46mm heel stack, the Vomero 18 takes runners to new heights, increasing overall stance by 7mm compared to Vomero 17
  • A lightweight, breathable mesh upper has been subtly enhanced by small touchpoint of comfort, like the foam collar and padded tongue top
  • The increased rocker allows for a smoother heel-to-toe transition

Horrible

Do you want hip pain, knee pain and arch pain ? If so these are totally a must. I gave these a 2 week chance and it only got worse. The were great the first couple runs, then slowly everything on my just hurt. I run daily 5 to 10 miles a day so I am no stranger. By week 2 the heel fell off just in time for my first ever pt appointment for my knee and hip because of these. Seriously, dont but these. If you want a high cushion shoes get the Mizuno zens. You won't get hurt

I Wanted It To Be Love But...

I wanted it to be love but...it's not. I am a big fan of Nike shoes and the Vomero line in particular. The Vomero 17s were perfection (I had multiple pairs) - responsive, the right amount of cushion, and a roomy toe box. I was excited to give the Vomero 18. For me, the 18s have too much cushion for my liking to the point that they feel clunky, the responsiveness is lacking, and the toe box is far too narrow. I didn't give up on Nike here. I bought both the Pegasus 41s and the Pegasus Plus and while they both felt better on my foot, I felt there was too little cushion in the forefoot for everyday running for me, but they did feel responsive :) I am now back to the drawing board and testing out other brands in hopes I find something like the previous iterations of the Vomeros.

My New Favorite Nike!

I was a Nike Air Max freak, but this Vomero Road Runner rocks my world! You're not just running on a cloud, you are the cloud! You take the bounce with you wherever you go in these! I like the way the back of my ankle doesn't get ignored from too low of a fit, or abused from too high of a cut! It is just right back there! Let's not forget the front of the ankle! I bought the other new Nike runners last year, the ones without a tongue that snuggle the front of your ankle, well, that was too much of a snuggle for me! I like the traditional tongue to the shoe and this one has it! Overall, the rock to bounce is perfect. The fit is comfortable and motivating with a can-do attitude built right in! This is my second pair this year and I haven't ruled out more, due to the mileage they inspire me to cover! Thanks, Nike!
