Not For Heavy Use
My son used these for his first season of soccer. I would say that if the child is just casually playing, these work perfect. My son became more than a casual player, having to handle the shin guards and side them off and on more than a couple times a week. I bought these 3 months ago and after about 6-7 weeks, the bottom (stirrup part) threads came undone right where the seam meets the bottom of the shin guard. We bought shin guard socks to slip the loose pieces in, before getting another pair.

Ok For The Price
These were just ok for the cheap price. Run small and likely wouldn't stand up to any actual true force. But good enough for 8 year old rec soccer.
