Lightweight, Bright, For Narrow Eyes

I bought these about a year ago and taken them hiking through the Blue Ridge Mountains and walking on Maui beaches. I've been impressed by their light weight and compactness. I appreciate the sureness of the rubberized feel and the balance in focusing between easiness and stability. As a photographer, I notice and really like the brightness and contrast of the images. The bino's twin hinges allow me to see a contiguous image, since I have a narrow interpupillary distance (on most binoculars, I see a black space in the middle of the image). The binoculars aren't waterproof. After I ran some water over the objective (front) lenses to remove sand, the binos fogged up for four days, then functioned normally. However, and fortunately, they don't fog up after going from a low-humidity, air-conditioned environment to a humid, outdoor environment, as camera lenses are prone to do. So, to be fair, with reasonable care and for the price, no stars should be subtracted for the lack of waterproofness (Nikon never claimed they were waterproof, anyway).
