I've sprayed this on all of my outer shells and my tents to keep them looking new and prevent long term UV damage or wear. So far it's working and I feel like all my items still look new!

Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarProof is an excellent product that’s easy to apply and really delivers. After spraying it on my tent and letting it dry, the fabric repelled water beautifully and felt noticeably more protected. I love that it also adds UV protection to prevent sun damage, which helps extend the life of my gear. It works great on backpacks and rain covers too, and the fact that it’s eco-friendly is a big plus. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to keep their outdoor gear in top shape!

Incredible stuff. Helps keep my gear waterproofed and clean. Only problem is it smells a little funky!

This is a great product to use. Its very easy to apply and works great. I've used it on my baby's stroller canopy cover to help it wick water away when its raining. I have also used it on my Rhino Rack Bat Wing canopy that I have on my Jeep so when I have the shelter spread out, I can have it at an angle to help the water run off and not puddle on my canopy when in use. We've also used this product on backpacks and diaper bags to keep them dry when it rains as well.

I keep thinking my tent bought in 2021 is new. It's not - and it's been through some things. Big Agnes recommends using this to maintain it, and I'm glad I got it. I noticed a difference in the water repelling qualities of the tent after applying it. I just have to trust the solar proofing part works too, but I'm glad to spend a little to make my expensive tent purchase last longer.

Easy application and looks like it will work great. Used on a Nemo teepee style tent that we use for a secondary shelter and food area separate from our sleeping tent. Haven't taken out yet, but so far so good.

I always wash my gear in nikwax and re apply after it dries and it works every time.

It's a great product you should be using after camping in rainy environments!

This was a super easy way to extend the life of my rain jacket and rain pants. Water is noticably more repellant after treatment! I di not use the wash beforehand, and it still worked well.

I’ve used this on all of my DWR dependent outdoor gear and it does pretty well. I’ve followed the directions on the bottle and it works. It does have to be reapplied after a while but that come with the territory for most products nowadays. I have recommended this product to friend and family. The only thing it lacks is how long it lasts compared to the original coating on an item so I give it a 4/5.
This was so easy to use, quick to dry, and kept our tent well protected!

I just spent four very rainy days backpacking in New Hampshire’s White Mountains and realized that my tent was not as waterproof as it used to be. A lot of my stuff got wet. After returning to my home in Chicago, I decided to go out to the park and treat my tent with Nikwax Solarwash and Solarproof. While I was cleaning off the Solarproof with a wet rag I noticed that the water was beading off of the rainfly again. My tent now seems just like when I bought it. I highly recommend these products to anyone looking to keep their expensive gear performing like new. Thanks Nikwax!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I rinse my tent over with water, let stand in the sun to dry. After a month or two (sometimes more) I will clean it and then spray this on the rain fly. I feel this was a very good product to protect my tent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you want to make sure that expensive piece of gear lasts a long time, Nikwax is the best way to go. I’ve now got an entire shelf of my closet dedicated to Nikwax products, including this tent and gear solarproof. It’s easy to apply and will protect your equipment from sun damage.

Who knew there was a specific cleaner for waterproofing gear??? This stuff is awesome, just throw your stuff in the laundry, and instantly renew the repellency in 1 wash. I've used this on a bunch of my military gear, from my Goretex jacket and pants, to even washing my 1 man tent in preparation for an upcoming wet field exercise. I've also used it to restore my Froggtoggs rain gear, and it went from getting me soaked to beading off water like a ducks back. I highly recommend this to all my junior troops, peers and friends to try out. Quite literally the easiest way to waterproof your stuff
