Bad Bike

DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE. The Nishiki Colorado had chain-slipping issues from day one. After only 3 rides, both pedals came off and the crank threads stripped. A bike shop called it extremely poor quality and not worth repairing. Save your money!

Avoid - Danger - Unless You Plan On Meeting Your Maker Soon Buy Anything Else

Within the first 30 minutes the lower rear chain tensioner decided to slip a gear then off itself by lodging nto my tire spokes. Good thing I was riding with my 6 year old and barely moving or I would need some facial reconstruction surgery. Please do not buy this bike. It looks good, but I think a temp bike from 3rd world countries put together with clay, sticks, and mud would be a better investment. Now I have to figure out the warranty stuff.

My 11 Year Old Grandson Likes It (Small 27.5)!

Reviewed similarly priced bikes extensively from REI, Walmart etc. This is well equipped bike with decent components for the price point (2x8 Microshift, 100 mm fork, Tektro brakes, quality quick release on both wheels, really nice paint, yuck on Schrader valves, a little heavy but not egregious) . Ordered online. Local dicks did a quality job on the assembly ( I have built many bikes). Dick's return and warranty are not as good as some competitors. Definitely beat Walmart on assembly and pickup. Pickup at Cary NC store went well associate polite, and helpful. The sign out process for all the legal stuff was annoying. Had to put a lot of info they already had in app and in store app was glitchy. This sign out kept me from rating bike and buying experience 5 stars.

Rear Wheel Disconnected After 3 Months

Absolute trash. The rear wheel just popped out during casual riding on sidewalks. Just 3 months old. Injured my kiddo. I don’t know if it is bike quality or assembly error. Either way that should never happen under casual riding

Bike seems nice overall and the guy the help us pick them out was awesome but the bike tech team at the new phila location absolutely terrible tires were flat handlebars were assembled. Wrong bolts were loose and brakes had to be adjusted . The most irritating part is I had to come back the next day to pick them up so the tech could go over them for them to not even be looked over.

Great Service

Just bought today after a long mishap using ship to store. I was able to re order and pickup at a new location where the Bike attendant Tony happily greeted me and got me through with the bike pick up showed me the quick release feature and did a great installment on a new bike seat. Definitely the kind of person you want to take care of your bike

Disappointing Design Flaw – Seat Height Restricted

Poor frame design. The pre-drilled holes for the water bottle cage block the seat post from lowering fully. I’ve never seen a small frame mountain bike that prevents shorter riders from lowering the seat to a comfortable height. Highly disappointing. Also the bike department was not helpful in cutting the seat post to workaround this issue. The picture attached shows the lowest position the seat will go.

Garbage

Garbage. Lasted a few rides around the neighborhood, but the service at the store was bad too, so at least it was consistent.

Nice Looking Bike!

Beautiful looking bike, love the color. Ordered online, and staff at the store had the bike built and ready for pick up within 2 days of purchase. So far so good as far as the ride!

Squeaking Noise, Pedal On The Fringe

I gave it a one star because the bike is gorgeous. But outside of that? It’s garbage! It makes Noise when you’re pedaling, and the pedal sounds like it’s to shakes away from breaking off. I should’ve left it in the store when it was squeaking but the rep assured me it would stop. It only got worse and their repair department is to be desired. Stay away from this brand.

Sam Is The Employee Of The Year!

I went into the store and a team member named Sam approached me with a great attitude immediately and asked if we needed help! I had to do an order pick up because I had the Rakuten app. He was patient calm! Didn’t rush me, answered all my questions, it was an upgrade for my son’s bike, so we had some questions and he answered them all! Very rare to see employees these days who are so kind and willing to go the extra mile! Restored faith in the retail world! Thank you Sam!
