Huge Disappointment

I purchased the Colorado to replace a well worn Diamond Back MTB; I really wanted to look at the Colorado Comp but it was not in stock. Before leaving the store, I asked the salesperson to thoroughly check the bike, gears and brakes My first ride on this Colorado was a disappointment as a the front derailleur would not shift gears on the crankshaft, the brakes were pretty loose as well…so I was pretty limited on what I could do with the bike. I returned the bike to the store to have the techs dial in the front derailleur and adjust the brakes as well. Three people were looking at the adjustment on the front derailleur, but they all declared it good to go. My second ride was equally disappointing as again the front derailleur was inoperable. I think overall the components are entry level and while they could work, the bike techs have to be able to adjust them precisely! DSG and the Nishiki were both a huge disappointment. I returned the bike and will shop at a local bike shop! Based on this experience, I don’t recommend this bike or DSG for bikes!

Solid And Sturdy Bike For Men And Women

Nishiki 29” Colorado bike is a smooth, stylish and sturdy ride. I got this for my daughter who says it is a comfortable bike and handles well as she rides the road and trails around town. The speed and gear adjusting is flawless. My only negative is that it didn’t come with a kick stand and assembly was a little tedious.

Looks Nice But Something Was Wrong With My Gears

I received this item unassembled and took it to my local Dicks Sporting Goods store where they happily assembled it for me. When I picked it up, I was informed that there was something wrong with the gears and since I did not have proof of purchase, there was nothing more that they could do. It is a beautiful looking bike, but unfortunately, I am afraid to ride it for my own safety. It will not stay in the 6th gear and will not go into 1st or 2nd gear.

Worst Gears

Gears changed to lower is slipping while biking …I fell down and got knee hurt. DSG has almost no return policy.wasted my money and time. Disappointed with purchase.

Exceeded Expectations

I was somewhat apprehensive initially when we began to test this bike. I assumed the listed price would be indicative of a lesser quality and lower performing product. We needed another larger bike and this one fills the need at a nice price point. The appearance is outstanding with sharp coloring and quality materials and construction. It compares very well to a much more expensive bike we own in shifting, braking, and quality of ride. Our boys liked everything about it with no negatives to report. They were happy with the mountain bike seat while if I were the sole rider would add a larger seat for additional comfort. We've used it daily with no issues at all and have received compliments on the appearance and styling. The 26" size was very good for our riders 5'2" to 5'11". It's a quality bike I recommend for teens and adults alike.
