Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bike! Looking for a replacement hybrid bike in 2015, I accidentally ran across a Nishiki at Dick's. I had a Nishiki road bike decades ago while in college, and really enjoyed it. But I had long since forgot about the brand. Then in early 2015 after I left my Trek 7200 hybrid for dead on the side of the path (it screwed me over for the last time) I found the Anasazi and decided to try a Nishiki again. I love it - I rode more last year than I ever had before (1,700 miles) and so far this year I have over 2,300, including 80 on it so far this week. (Not bad for a 62 year old.) I have a Sun recumbent and a Cannonade too, but this Anasazi is my favorite one to ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful My wife bought me this for my birthday last week and right away I thought it was a pretty lookin bike. I'm 6ft tall and amazingly the height fit me perfect. Today was my first ride. Right away I had to perform an adjustment on the front disk brake. It rubbed just a little. Resolved that issue within minutes and now realize how easily the brakes can be moved or adjusted. Ride was very smooth. Shifting is quick and quiet. I would love to take this on a nice rail trail. No complaints. People will criticize and say you can't get a good bike at a big box store but this is all about perspective. You can spend a grand on a bike but unless you ride like it's your profession, this bike is going to satisfy you completely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice bike, great service Bought this for my 14 yr old son. We are participating in a road tour and his old $80 Big Box bike I got him a while back just wasn't cutting it any more for the distances we were riding. I knew there would be times in the future we might go off road as well so we went with this hybrid option. So far so good. No huge complaints, except that the seat was pretty hard so we got a more comfortable one (elsewhere) and swapped it out easily. We had a slight issue initially where the handle bars weren't fully tightened and I was afraid I'd strip it when I attempted to tighten it up myself - so I brought it back into the store and they tightened up and had us back out in no time at all. Great service!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb bicycle for the price. This is a well built bicycle with great features. It is ideal for the casual recreational rider who desires a solid and functional bicycle but doesn't need the high end features found on more costly bicycles. The superb knowledge of the Dick's salesperson and outstanding after purchase service for minor adjustments has made this purchase a great experience. While I've had the bike less than two weeks, it has performed superbly. So far, this bicycle is the best bicycle I've owned, even more so than a high end bike I had many years ago. Furthermore, my son has a high end mountain bike; after riding this bicycle, he plans to sell his and buy one of these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Hybrid, Great For Modding! I've had this bike for about 6 months, and in that time it's far surpassed my expectations. I started riding it after my old bike's frame cracked about 5 months ago. It has worked very well since, and I've added everything from panniers to headlights. Even with all the gear, my bike has survived being hit twice by cars, smashing into a light pole, and tumbling down a hill. The gears still work great, and the tires are barely worn. The Nishiki is built very solidly, and is a suitable base for modding. It's great for commuters and farmers alike, and will last you many years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice features Bought this a few weeks ago. Needed something that I could sit up taller and not have to strain my neck to see where I was going. I use it for road and gravel trails, so I wanted a hybrid with adjustable shocks. It has the better Shimano components, with disc brakes. The stepover on the center bar is easier than the Diamondback. Wish I could lock out the shocks for road riding, but these aren't too bad and are adjustable. Not ready to step up to the next price point yet (Trek, Canondale,...), so this worked out good for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value I looked at the Nishiki and the Diamond Back, both had the same shifters, derailers an other major components, but the DB cost about $100 more. I went for the Nishiki and have ridden it well over a couple hundred miles with no issues. Very smooth ride, flawless shifts, lightweight bike. I weigh close to 300 lbs and this frame carries me comfortably. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something better than the standard Kmart bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Hybrid Bike!!! My first hybrid bike. It was a toss up between the Diamondback and the Nishiki and I am happy I went with the Nishiki. The guy at the store broke down the pros of each bike but it really came down to what felt comfortable and smooth to me.....which is the Nishiki. The guy in the store fine tuned the bike, made the necessary adjustments to the bike....like brakes, tires, and etc. I would highly recommend. Very comfortable for long rides....I use mine more for fitness but for 1-2 hours of riding. I love the look of the bike frame which looks more like a mountain bike than a hybrid bike. I got the black Nishiki vs the white.
