Bike Is Great

Bike is great but definitely overpriced compared to what you kind find elsewhere for the quality

Outstanding Durability!

Have had this bike for a while I actually prefer it over the female version! It very sturdy and I have had it for a long time and it still works great! No issues with chain or anything else on it for that matter. Just put new tubes in tires, ready to keep riding!!

Old Guy Gets New Bike

I hadn't ridden a bicycle for 25 years. The salesperson at Dick's pointed me to the Nishiki Men's Tamarack Comfort Bike. It was the right one. The Tamarack is sturdy, comfortable and easy to control--gears, brakes, steering. After a few minutes I felt comfortable and in control.

Below Average Bike. Chain Slips A Lot.

This bike is pretty average. It’s decently comfortable and you can adjust quite a few different aspects of it. The main issue is that the chain almost always comes off when you’re in 1st gear and it clicks quite a bit when you peddle as well. I took it it to have them tune it up and it still does it so I suspect it’s just a poorly made bike. Would not recommend.

Bike

This bike is one heck of a bike for the money. The salesman made sure everything was perfect before he let me go home with it. I LOVE it.

Great For The Price

I have ridden this bike only several times but it gets the job done! I was looking for something that didn’t have me so stretched out and bent over and this did the trick. Very comfortable to ride. I know there was complaints about the seat but I loosened the screw directly underneath the bike and made it more flat than the nose pointing up. The seat has been very comfortable making it easy to ride for several hours. Love the store assembly and everything works great!!

Solid Bike For The Money.

All the main stuff works Great. Gears shift smoothly, Everythig adjusted in house. Tires had issues ie out of round. I run the pressure on the low end whitch rides smoother. I will probably get some kenda tires later.

Great Entry Level Bike

Bought this bike a few weeks ago. So far no problems. Its comfortable to ride and has met all expectations.

1 Year Review - Wouldn't Buy Again

I've had this bike for a year now, and would give it 3.5 stars. I wouldn't purchase again after the amount of issues I have had with it, but the issues aren't so egregious that I would trash this bike altogether and get a new one. When I received the bike new from the store, it became quickly apparent after the first ride that the tire had a hole in it. I patched this up with some green goo. After a few rides, the alignment on the front wheel started to be "off" which was causing the brake pads to rub against the tire while it was spinning and slow me down when I wasn't pulling the brakes. I had to readjust the alignment 3 or 4 different times in a fairly involved process before I finally got it fixed. Ever since I have been very carfeul not to take the bike over any bumps or curbs that will rattle it too badly, lest the misalignment returns. After riding it consistently for a few months, the bike seat began to come loose. At first, I was able to fix it by tightening the (very annoyingly-placed) bolt underneath, but my fix lasted only for a few weeks before the seat became loose again. I tighetened the seat again, but this second tightening lasted slightly shorter than the first. Soon the I was having to tighten the seat every week, then every couple of days, then every day. I don't ride the bike particularly hard, go over any jolting bumps, or sit on the seat in any irregular way. Yet as it stands at the time of this review, I cannot go one full ride (of less than a mile) without the seat coming very loose and wobbling all over the place while I ride. I currently plan to purchase a different, third-party seat to replace it with. In all, this bike is not worth the hassle. I'd advise getting something else if you can, but if you have to purchase this specific bike for some reason it's not the *worst* thing you could end up with.

Great Bike

After a little tightening of the seat, this bike was perfect. The bike is a very smooth trail bike that can go pretty fast if you need to.

Chain Issues

I like the bike overall. The chain seems to come off a lot. Whenever I get on an incline.it comes off front and back.
