Not For Me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took a chance on ordering the step climber XL without trying it. I have used the elliptical and knew what to expect from that machine but thought stepping would be a different kind of training since I do like to train with stairs. Also the footprint is smaller for my home gym. The first thing I noticed when I tried the stepper was that the step length was extremely long and I immediately wanted to shorten the stride but realized there are no options for that. This is a huge disappointment for me since I have short legs and hip sensitivity. I would rather have the same motion with shorter step length. The second thing I noticed was the intensity of the levels being extremely strong. I don't know anyone that will ever get up to level 22! Because I am small and 110 pounds, I don't think I'll ever be able to get past level 12. I've been using the machine for almost a month and I'm not giving up on it, but if I were to do it again, I would not order this machine and probably stick with the elliptical. This may be a really good machine for somebody taller, stronger and heavier but not someone my size. Unfortunately this was an expensive learning experience.

Impressive Features In A Small Package

My favorite thing about this stepper is that it packs so much into such a compact space. It’s got a big, clear screen, built-in apps, and even a charging port for my phone. The workouts are low impact but surprisingly tough—I always feel like I’ve accomplished something, without the soreness I get from running. I enjoy having Netflix and other apps during my workout but really hope they’ll add YouTube soon. Also, a quicker way to just get started without the whole log-in process would make this perfect for busy mornings. This is an incentivized review.

A Low-impact Game Changer For My Daily Routine

As someone who enjoys running but struggles with knee discomfort, I was seeking a low-impact alternative that still offered a great workout. This Step Climber has been a fantastic addition to my fitness regimen. I've been able to incorporated daily sessions, alternating between hiking, running, and walking programs. The stair-stepping motion provides a unique challenge, engaging my glutes and quads differently than traditional cardio equipment. The 16" HD touchscreen helps with the workout experience, though I did notice the iFIT programs for this machine aren't as diverse as those for the treadmill or stationary bike. The inclusion of streaming apps like Netflix is a nice touch, but I'd love to see additions like YouTube or Audible in the future. Assembly was straightforward, taking about 45 minutes. Most of the tools were provided, but I did need to use some of my own to complete the setup. This is an incentivized review.

Must Have For Cardio Workouts

This climber will elevate your cardio workouts to heights you only dreamed about! The quick resistance paired with iFit Live can give you the best workouts you could ask for! Great build quality and fairly easy to move around. Would HIGHLY Recommend!

Love This Machine – Perfect For A Busy Mom!

I’m so glad I chose the NordicTrack Step Climber XL. Assembly was surprisingly manageable—even with a 4-year-old and an infant in tow, it only took us about 2 hours to put everything together. The parts were packed really well, but the box was too heavy to bring inside all at once. We just opened it outside and carried the individual pieces inside, down our small staircase, with no issues at all. It came with some nice, full-size tools, which I appreciated, but I did need to use my own small Allen wrench to attach the handles—the ones included were a bit too long for the angle needed. Still, assembly was straightforward and felt very doable, even with distractions. Once it was set up, I was immediately impressed with how smooth the motion is. It feels really natural and low-impact, but I still get an amazing burn in my legs fast—perfect for getting in an efficient workout while the kids are occupied. The iFIT experience makes it even better. I love the variety of workouts and locations, and it really helps me stay motivated. It’s something I actually look forward to using each time, which says a lot when time and energy are both limited. Highly recommend for any parent looking for a solid, effective, and enjoyable workout at home! I received this product at a discounted price in return for providing my honest and impartial review.

Compact Powerhouse!

As a young mom, time and space are both in short supply—but this step climber fits perfectly into my chaotic life. I love that it stands upright and doesn’t eat up my tiny home gym. The padded foot steps are surprisingly gentle on my knees, and let me tell you, I feel the burn in under two minutes! The built-in fan is a godsend, and I can stream my favorite show while sweating it out. Only downside? iFIT doesn’t offer specific step climber workouts that I could find on the app, but I just use the elliptical ones and still get torched. Worth every penny. Surprisingly Fun And Incredibly Versatile – A Compact Powerhouse!

I didn't expect to enjoy stair climbing so much, but the Step Climber XL makes it fun. The HD screen is super responsive and the tilting feature lets me adjust based on lighting in the room. I use the multi-grip handlebars to work different muscles depending on the day. It's a compact beast of a machine! I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Solid Machine For Quick Workouts

I’m not a fitness fanatic, but I wanted something to use on days when I don’t feel like walking outside. The step climber fits the bill perfectly. It’s easy to use, and I can squeeze in a session while watching Netflix. It’s not flashy, but it gets the job done. After a few weeks, I noticed better leg tone and stamina. Worth the investment!

Great Step Climber!

I absolutely love the NordicTrack Step Climber XL! I am 45 years old and work in the travel industry. While staying in hotels, I often use nicer gym equipment and wanted something similar for home use. This NordicTrack is high quality, stable, and feels like high end gym equipment. It was a breeze to put together. It recommends two people but I was able to complete it myself and only using the provided tools. Instructions were simple to understand and the entire process took around 40-45mins. The Step Climber XL fits nicely in a guest bedroom requiring very little space. The built in TV has wifi connectivity allowing it to stream workouts, Netflix, Prime Video, and other compatible apps eliminating the need for a TV in the room. During workouts, The NordicTrack is so quiet I can use it in the early mornings without worry of waking up any family members. I highly recommend this equipment to anyone looking for a solid workout at home. I was incentivized to write this honest review.

Great Workout For Busy Mom

The NordicTrack step climber has been amazing, I have has the climber for a few weeks now and use it multiple times a week. I needed another option for cardio for when it is just to hot outside to run. I still get a great workout without disturbing the rest of the family as it is very quiet. We have it in a guest room across the hallway from my daughter and she has never woken up from me using it in the early mornings. The climber is easy to use and different difficulty levels allows you to have the workout you prefer. There are different workouts to choose from, which is great to mix it up and not get bored of the same thing every day. It was fairly easy to put the step climber together. While one person can do it themselves, it is much easier with two people. It is very heavy, don't make the mistake like we did and had to move it upstairs once it was put together. While this is an incentivized review, this is my honest review of the product.

Small Footprint Big Machine

I’ve been very impressed and happy with this machine. I work out regularly and have used a lot of different cardio machines throughout the years. This machine provides a great workout very similar to a stair stepper and elliptical combined. I like that it is low impact to my body but still provides a great cardio workout. At my current home we don’t have a lot of space for exercise equipment so I had signed up for a gym membership. With two little kids and life being so busy it’s hard to find the time for the gym and love the convenience of having the ability to get a workout in at home. This machine takes care of that by not being too big and still providing a great workout. I was given this machine at a discount to offer my honest opinion and would definitely recommend it. It’s helped me to get my time back and complete some of my goals.

Very Well-made Machine

I haven’t had it for very long, but I am extremely impressed with this Step Climber. I’m amazed at the quality of construction and at the excellent assembly instructions that allowed me to put it together in a short period of time.
