[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this little stick of dynamited now a real life rescue on the Arkansas in high water where I needed to get to my bag fast. This should not however be your only throw line if you’re running a larger craft, but makes a great supplement to a longer, more robust line. On thing I would add is that there is ample belt length. To much for most people and you will want to cut off the excess (hot knife) Your local climbing shop should do this for you for free if they’re cool. Maybe pick up a dedicated “z-drag” line while you’re there. I recommend static line as the rope in your throw bag is dynamic and will lose some of its stretch ( which you want when it’s time to go fishing for your buddies) if you use it for unpinning a “wrapped” boat. The main negative thing is that the position of the safety release on the belt is not adjustable and will be in an awkward (and maybe hard to get to) if you choose to ware this puppy “appendix carry” which I do when paddling a ducky. As with most things, this can be overcome with practice. In closing, get proper instruction, make practicing rescue skills a regular part of your time on the water. Someone’s life could be in the balance. Thanks for reading my book
