Excellent Striped Bass Reel

Paired with an ugly stick tiger elite 6’6” rod and loaded with 50# braid this 6000 size reel worked perfectly for oversized stripped bass in the ocean. Casts and reels easily and is holding up well after several saltwater exposures.

Great Value For The Price!!!!

Had some extra available dollars from a gift card for Dicks so I decided to buy a medium size spinning reel. Couldnt believe this reel was priced at only $39 !!! I spooled it with 30lb braid and caught two 15" spotted bay bass with relative ease the following day. The drag system is so smooth and can handle much larger fish.

Amazing Casting Ability

I purchased the 30 for my daughter about a month ago to go with her Stratus rod. She wanted pink braid but we could only find 15lb line so we spooled it up and threw a topwater on it and tested it out. To both of our amazement, she casted a good 35 yards on her first cast which is about double of what she was capable of with her old reel using the same rod and line brand. We switched rods keeping the same line and again, 30-35 yards easy. I know there are a few factors when casting, but the only change made was the reel. This led me to believe that this reel made a huge difference for her. This is probably one of the best purchases for fishing equipment by far. Not to mention, the employee in the fishing section at the Summerville, SC location recommended it. Smooth casting, lightweight, very sleek, definitely recommend picking one up.

Nice Reel

I put a hundred+ hours on the reel and thousands of casts so far. Landed 64 lake trout casting from shore, size range from 5 to 11lbs. The drag is super smooth and has gotten plenty of action. The reel was very slick originally, but it has developed some play in the handle already. It is still a decent reel for the money, but not for high volume casting and big fish.
