Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Great For Me I just got off of a four day river trip with this kayak. Kayak handled well and even did great on class III rapids. The only design flaw I found was the location of one of the anchor brackets. When I paddled hard right it gouged my arm. I ended up removing the anchor hardware, which just involved popping a couple rivets and filling the holes with clear caulk. The kayak is extremely light and the seat was very comfortable on a 45 mile trip. I did buy a splash guard for the cockpit because the size does let water in if you're going through waves and rough water. I realized this going in though, I bought it because of the price and the comfort. Very nice kayak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kayak for larger guys I bought this a short time ago but have had it out 5 times now. I am 6' ~240# and this has been very stable on flat water and class 1 river section. Added a simple staduim seat pad and have spent 4+ hours at a time in it with no problems. am now enjoying the lakes m=near me much more then I ever have before and it is so much better then fishing from shore. Disk's also has an assortment of eyes, cleats, and Scotty rod holders so you can further customize the boat to you purpose which has be fun as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for me. Features: I've made 4 outings thus far. Durations: 1 hour, 6 hours, 2 hours , 2 hours. Very little whitewater but have done some swift river waters. My wife has the similar Old Town Vapor. I have not used the TRIP for fishing yet. Cons: we have the same complaints on both models where the seat hurts us after a long time there. On our trips , we don't have the option to stand up for a break. So we will get some additional seat pads. I added drain plugs at the nose for easier washouts. On the Vapor, I needed to add bungees for holding items at the front and rear. The TRIP came with bungees on the front. PROS: I like the added compartment on the Trip / angler. This was one of the kayaks I found where my feet could be vertical while riding and the cockpit is very large for easy entry. I keep a small Coleman cooler between my feet and it fits and gives me a better place for my feet. I like the space behind the seat for handy item stowage. I would like to have tried the 12 foot models.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent features Kayak features nice amenities. But doesn't track well in the water. I'll be selling mine and buying another kayak at half the price that tracks 2 times as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stable, comfortable, many perks I have had many kayaks over the years, this is my favorite so far. Sturdy, glides well, lots of room, fits my 250lbs, lots of extras: places to hook things and store, use fishing items with camera instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zero regrets !!! I just sold my two Elies ... although they looked great, i didn't feel confident in rough waters. Read the reviews and liked what i read about the stability of the Trip10. Just got it 2 days ago and had the maiden voyage today. Very windy day out in Charlotte Harbour, 25-40 mph. all day, and very choppy of course. This is just what i wanted, as it was a perfect test for its stability and tracking. Admittedly i was a wee-bit concerned (scared) going out in such conditions, and it was all for naught ... i never felt any tipping and it tracked great, and at a good speed. It performed better than i could imagine and i plan on getting a second one now ... yes, it was that reasuring. I only desire it for recreation, not fishing, so i just took out the anchor. For all the whiners who complain about uncomfortable seats, go to Walmarts garden section and pick out a seat cushion, they've got dozens of them. It's as roomy as roomy gets, great foot pegs and excellent hatch. The only flaw is the narrow console with alleged drink holder, totally useless, but who cares when you've got room to put a soft cooler between your legs. Overall, i cant think of another kayak i'd rather have, at any price ... very roomy and very safe. The ratings are legit, you'll be very happy with this kayak.
