Great Lightweight River Boat

Very light yet stable. Good platform for a stern mount motor for shallow rivers. Definitely recommend. Bring back marsh camo color tho.

Awesome Kayak

I bought the Old Town Sportsman 120 at Dicks about a month ago and couldn't be happier. Been kayak fishing with a cheaper entry-level model the last few years and been wanting to upgrade for a while. Love the stability of this boat and the ability to stand up if needed. The seat is also extremely comfortable and have no issues going long hours on the water. It is a bit heavy and awkward to pick up and carry due to its size so plan to also get a cart in the future. I currently have been able to load and unload it myself into the back of my truck at the boat ramp and carry it into my garage out of my truck when done for the weekends. The included transducer mount didn't work for my Garmin Striker 4 as it would stick out under the hull which I didn't want. I went ahead and mounted with ductseal inside the hull below the bow hatch and that has been fine. The 12 footer has loads of room to pack stuff in the stern and tracks extremely well in the water as well. All around, loving this boat so far and good customer service at Dicks when picking it up.

Love It!

PERFECT! Fast, Stable, Tons of space. Just the right width and length. I don't know what more I can say I have no complaints and there's nothing I would change. I'm 200lbs 5' 10" couldn't ask for a better kayak. Good tip this is the same as the $5,000 dollar one without peddle or motor. I use it only for fishing and using just a paddle doesn't bother me in the least bit. Simple stupid and when it comes to boat the less crap I have to deal with breaking i.e. peddle drives, the better. I just want to enjoy a day of fishing and not S#$T breaking. I fish in grass weeds lily pads and the paddle is just fine you don't need the peddle drive, most of them that come with the Kayaks are crap anyway and replacing them is around $2,500-$3,000 for one that wont break again

Exceeded Expectations

Putting in over 50 miles a summer for 2 years now on very shallow rivers this kayak exceeded my expectations. Super stable and navigates shallow water and rapids very well for its size, and it’s built like a tank! Hundreds of fish on board so far!

Great Kayak- Horrible Service

Warning to others buying kayaks from dsg. The told me over a week later that the kayak i had order had actually been sold. If ur i. Need of something specific or important i would chose elsewhere as dicks has a tendancy to cancel orders weeks later

Perfect River Kayak!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sometimes, I like to fish in tougher to reach areas where there may not be a road. You need something that is light, easy to carry, and still gives you the space and stability needed to chase big fish. This is the whole package!

Great For The Heavy Guys That Want To Fish Stable!

Going into my third year with this kayak. Did alot of research before buying. I'm 5'5" and hover at around 300 lbs so I needed something comfortable and stable and this has given me short trips as well as 9 hour days of fishing with ease. I can even stand up. Also got one for my athletic now 18 year old and a 106 for my now 14 year old and we love them all.my youbger

Kayak Time

I bought a Sportsman 120 12ft Kayak recently. Great service from the associate and checkout associate.

Beware!!!

So I bought this kayak cause it was everything i needed in a yak. Order process was easy, shipping took a while but, i came days earlier then expected again another plus. Now for the Beware part it arrived with no wrap or anything for protection. The paddle holder was completely missing.. And one of my foot rests was also cracked. The body on the outside looked like it had been thru it gouges and scuffs. Oh and the tackle box that your supposed to get with it also never came. otherwise its still a great yak. If not for the way it arrived i would have given 5*

Very Stable Easy To Get In Out Of

I have had the kayak for 3 weeks already have caught 2 limits of crappie

Seriously Beyond Expectations!!!

There’s nothing more in a paddle kayak you that you could possibly need. I like to stand and I wanted room without peddles or a console getting in my way. This kayak gives me so much room and stability that I can stand and turn around with no issues. Fly fishing is no problem either with extra room gained from eliminating the console. This creates a all the room you need for stripping line without the worry of your fly line getting tangled. I would recommend this kayak for anyone.
