Great Customer Service! Both At Dick’s And Old Town!

Bought this kayak a few days ago. When I got it home and started checking the parts, I realized the seat shuttles that hold seat in place were missing. I called Dick’s Sporting Goods in Hamburg the next day. They went above and beyond getting me a new part. Matthew , in Kayak Section looked everywhere to see if he could find it. Bottom line He called Old Town and they are shipping me the missing part. He and the manager, Stephanie, made me feel like I was their top priority, even during these busy times. Great 1st Kayak.

very happy with my purchase. Pdl 106. there are somethings that needs tweaking, but that's what nick Navarre is for. Far rear Hatch would be amazing. Pdl drive is smooth and quiet.

Bought this on sale and glad I got it. First day out pedaled out to an island 1-1/2 miles off shore and caught reds and seatrout. Woohoo!

Solid Platform

I bought my 106pdl in 2022. This kayak is a beast, I ocean fish in some pretty nasty conditions, wind, waves and tides and I have not had one bad experience. This year I've added a 55lb trolling motor directly behind the seat to increase my range and tide planning. Don't hesitate if you are serious about a solid boat, not one issue yet and I use this yak..

The Perfect Yak

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have no complaints. This kayak is super stable on the water and can turn very quickly. It has plenty of room for what I bring with me. I’m a 5’11”, 215lb man and have no problem with stability. I can easily cast and set the hook on a fish standing up.

Compact And Capable.

I spent about a year and a half living in a downtown apartment with a parking garage. I got into a PDL 106 because I could store it hanging out the back of my truck bed and still park in the garage. This kayak has all the stability and most of the space compared to a Bigwater PDL but even more maneuverability. It is a little bit slower than other PDL models but I have no problem maintaining 3mph, even into the wind. I used this kayak as my main tournament rig for two seasons, a handful of B.O.S. events and many local Oklahoma events. This kayak is the perfect compact tournament platform for those that don't want to trailer a huge kayak. Its very easy to get on to a kayak cart and move around. The PDL drive is amazing and of course has now been proven to be the most reliable pedal drive on the market. I can't think of a better pedal fishing kayak that anyone can easily throw in the back of a pickup.

Best Investment Ive Made In Last 10 Years

I absolute love this pdl 106 by old town! It has literally changed my life! I get to truly enjoy the water, catch giant fish and either pedal or paddle my way anywhere i want to go! Very solid build quality! Replacement or mod parts available everywhere! It is amazing.

Most Stable Kayak Ever

Ive been on multiple trups in this kayak. Very comfy seat, and the most stable ive ever been in. Stand up fishing is amazing in this kayak and i dont feel like ill fall in at all. The pedal drive is smooth and easy to operate with the adjustable seat. I can pedal this yak faster than most other paddlers on the water.

Great Fishing Kayak

This is a great kayak that was clearly designed for fishing. Love the pedal drive that allows for instant reverse. That was always my gripe with my old paddle kayak; it was challenging battling a fish and trying to paddle away from shore. It was a plus buying it through Dick’s because I saved $120 by shipping it to the store, they helped load it on my car, and I got $80 in Rewards.
