Great Kayak! Bad Sales Service From Dick’s Sporting Goods
I purchased this same Kayak at Dick’s Sporting Goods. The kayak is AMAZING. Especially comparing it to the Pelican Catch 110 HDII. This Old Town is SO MUCH BETTER. It is a lot more stable, easier and faster to peddle with your feet. You can feel and see the difference in the materials used. The Old Town is way better. Unfortunately, there were parts missing when I purchased it from Dick’s. It was missing a steering handle and the front plug. We could have gone under is I wouldn’t have noticed and purchased a plug elsewhere.

Incredible Stability!
Standing on this kayak is no problem. In fact trying to purposely tip it over is a challenge. This kayak maneuvers nicely and is easily rigged for fishing and trolling. Although not touted for big water I've used this kayak on lake Michigan trolling for salmon and it's handled very well.

This will be my second PDL 120 should have not let go of the first one these kayaks are solid and very durable will not be getting rid of this one for sure. I’m happy with my purchase if you have the opportunity and ready for a fishing kayak I highly recommend getting a Sportsman PDL 120. Just do it!

I Love It But ...
I really love this kayak. It is hard to beat. BUT ... I really wish that they would add rear tracks and a handle to the back. I know that I can add them, but for the money they should be factory installed. It is pretty heavy.

Just picked this up from the store earlier today. Took it home and unwrapped all the packaging and hardware and find there's no seat. Pretty miffed I just dropped $3000 on a kayak I can't use at the present.

Off To A Great Start
This is my first venture with kayak fishing. The kayak is comfortable and stable. It maneuvers well. Maiden voyage I caught 5 spotted trout, so I'd say off to a good start. Still way low on the learning curve but I am very pleased with the purchase.

Everything I Expected…and More
Absolutely love my Old Town 120 PDL! I purchased it from the Pensacola Dicks location which was a great experience, the staff went above and beyond to assist with my purchase. Taking the Kayak on its maiden trip I found it to be extremely stable and the pedal drive is very smooth. Also when peddling next to a fellow kayak on the bay I noticed (and so did he) how effortless it was for me to pull ahead with less effort! The gear ratio of the PDL is not only maintenance free for the most part but I can maintain 3.25-3.75 mph over long periods again with little effort. Wind hasn’t affected me either, you don’t get blown around and it’s easy to track straight. Another selling point on the PDL is how you can keep yourself in a location since you can pedal either direction (forward/reverse) with no cords to pull or switches to flip, you just change your pedal direction and bam it’s seamless. Overall it’s made in the USA, has a lifetime warranty…PDL has 5 yrs! What’s not to like?!?!
