Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Great For Me I just got off of a four day river trip with this kayak. Kayak handled well and even did great on class III rapids. The only design flaw I found was the location of one of the anchor brackets. When I paddled hard right it gouged my arm. I ended up removing the anchor hardware, which just involved popping a couple rivets and filling the holes with clear caulk. The kayak is extremely light and the seat was very comfortable on a 45 mile trip. I did buy a splash guard for the cockpit because the size does let water in if you're going through waves and rough water. I realized this going in though, I bought it because of the price and the comfort. Very nice kayak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best kayak for under $750 !! I have put mine through extreme fishing for 3 years. Mountain rivers, and lakes. Dragging it through rocks, trees, creeks, rivers, and back. It is very hard to tip this kayak. I am 6'4 and 260lb and this is the perfect kayak for a big guy. have caughtt tons of big fish and have done 15+ mile trips and it keeps going strong each trip. If you want the most stable kayak with lots of room and storage that will take a real live work horse extreme fishing - out doors - beating this is it. $550 is cheap for a good kayak and I trust it with my life & gear every time I go out. Buy it !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Go To Day Fishing River Kayak. I have two Old Town Trip 10 kayaks, Pungo 120, Plamilco 120, Perception Conduit 13, Perception Rhythm 11, Emotion Fisherman 14, Pelican Castaway 116 DLX, Field and Stream River Run 12, Old Town Vapor 10, Plamilco 120, The Trip is my go to kayak for day fishing on this old river. It is easy to get into and out. It is very stable, tracks good with enough speed for the river. It handles good around the fallen trees and goes over shallow places with ease. I can even go up river with high water conditions with ease. Some of the other kayaks I have can do the same but not for the price of the Trip. It is a great kayak for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great first kayak I was looking to get into kayaking, but I have two kids (4 and 6), and I wanted to be able to take them out. I thought I was going to have to get a tandem. I stopped in a Dicks and saw how long tandems were, and wanted nothing to do with one. Then I saw this one, the colors of it is what caught my eye at first, but then I noticed how large the cockpit was and I thought I could fit a kid in there. So I went home and read lots of reviews about it and noticed that many people would take their kids (or dog) in it. So I went ahead and bought two, for me and my wife, so we'd be able to go alone or take the kids with us. I'm 6'5" and 240lbs and am able to sit comfortably with a kid sitting between my feet. Kayak is very stable and have enjoyed many hours already.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great kayak...couple minor flaws great kayak! I'm glad I got it! it's stable, has 2 rod holders, has a cup holder, comfortable seating, plenty of leg room to store a tackle box, has a spot that holds your paddle with a bungie to prevent from losing it, happy to have this to go out fishing in!The only problems I had were minor but easy to fix.1. a metal piece that holds the lines separate on the anchor system scratches your arm when rowing. I simply filed it down.2. the anchor that came with it was poorly assembled. I lost it when it was deployed. the pin had fallen out and all I had left was the ring. I had to buy a new anchor because I couldn't find the other one. I suggest tightening the pin or replace it with a screw and a lock nut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome boat! I picked up one of these last year during the 4th of July sale and couldn't be happier. I've used it countless times on everything from still lakes to shallow rivers and it performs beyond expectations on all. Love that it already came with a nice seat, rod holders, and anchor system (all things I would've added to a standard yak) for a great price. The dry storage is nice and roomy plus enough room in the cockpit for my tackle and cooler. Not to mention the cockpit opening is fairly large making it extremely easy to get in and out. Highly recommend this boat and will most likely pick up another this year for my wife or friends to use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All Around Kayak I purchase this exact kayak (tan color) in 2011 and use it very often. It's very sturdy, so if you are leaning over to grab a fish or if there are some wakes it stays very stable. The cockpit area has a lot of room. I'm 6'4" 230 and can even bring one of my kids (5 and 7) in it with me with plenty of room to spare. The airtight storage area is also great! I would not recommend buying one with out it. It's very nice to have that storage area and not have to worry about things getting wet in it. I have friends that are much more into kayaking and they wish they purchased this one. It's just a great overall kayak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Paddling round the lakes This was purchased on July 16th. This pegs for foot positioning is adjustable and works well on the inside of the kayak At 10' long, tracking is still pretty good. I am sure longer kayaks track better, but this is decent. It has a larger opening to get into the kayak, plenty of room to put a few items in it if you wanted to in addition to the sealed water tight unit in the back. We have used it over a dozen times without any issues or concerns. It has two fishing pole holders and room for tackle in the kayak for easy access to your gear. The front also has some stretched material to hold tackle, a small cooler or whatever. Overall, great purchase. You will not be disappointed.
