I have used this paddld for a year and it has performed well. It was my first "higher end" paddle so I can compare it to other, more expensive paddles but I would buy again.

Handle too short weird sound when you hit the ball

Played with the Z5 for over 3 years on and off. Overall it was a good paddle. I think it is good for beginner and intermediate play, and there are better rackets for advanced players and above. Power was adequate, spin was moderate at best. The racket is loud compared to other rackets. The racket does not have a great soft touch, so dinking requires good technique.

paddle is slim and does not povide much power or good spin

This was the first paddle I bought when I started playing 18 months ago at age 65. I found it to be very reliable and well suited while learning to play the game. I am now able to hit for power, control my shots, and effectively spin the ball as well. I purchased the paddle online and the price point was reasonable... not cheap, but affordable for a beginner. Wish paddles came with a stylish cover, but found one online from another source cost effectively.

I have small hands and this grip fits comfortably.

This is my second one, I like the feel of it and the ball control. What I don't like is the way the handle is made, my first one the handle broke in half, I think you need a stronger material in the handle section instead of two pieces of foam. Handle has same honey comb core as the paddle with the same face material which has two pieces of close cell foam over that, not much strength.

Got interested in pickleball and decided to take it up on a regular basis during the winter months for exercise. Purchased the Onix (newer model) Z5 Paddle and find it to be a great paddle for a beginner turning intermediate player. Very pleased with my choice.

Started playing in August of 2023. My first paddle. Have since bought another paddle and used others. I keep going back to the Z5. Lots of power, durable face, and reliable. Added some lead tape, and an overgrip once the original grip began to wear. (Playing 4+ times per week) Paddle is now even better IMO.

Upped my game from the first time I played with it!
