We Need Half-sizes - And More Durability!

I've worn Oofos on and off in the past ten years, and they're comfortable but don't last long before the sole either gives out and starts rolling sideways, or just squishes flat and spreads out. Just not durable for long, but I feel like the expense is okay if I just wear them an hour or two after a hike. BUT what the heck is such an issue with offering half-sizes? You'd think we're asking for a moon landing or something. My little toe hangs off if I get a size 8, yet the front end is so long on a 9 that I have to be careful not to trip -- and yet the entire part of the shoe behind the thong attachment is the exact same size! Evidently Oofos thinks the difference from one size to another is the length of just your toes. Anyway, I had a credit card kickback and a Dick's reward, so this pair was free for me, so no loss. But every time I go a few years between pairs I forget how irritated I get at Oofos...
