Works Well But Poor Build Quality

Gets up to temp really quickly and cooks a very good pizza. But the build quality is poor. After about 3 weeks abd using it about 7 times the metal trim around the door where you add wood started coming loose. Also, the paint started peeling off in several places.

For The Last 15 Years

For the last 15 years I have been making pizza on my Big Green Egg. On advice of a trusted friend I picked up a Karu 2. Wow - my first batch of pizzas made me a believer. The cook quick, they cook even, and they came out delicious.

A New Family Tradition Born

We are so excited to own a pizza oven. We have made a lot of pizzas (34) in the last month or so of us making pizza. There’s a huge learning curve, but each time gets better! The craftsmanship of the Ooni is well worth the cost. Very pleased with our purchase.

Been great so far and is performing exactly as I had hoped with the job being far easier with the window and also the built in thermometer

Bought This Oven For My

Bought this oven for my son’s birthday. He (and family and friends) are very much enjoying the pizza nights!

Pizza Night, Double Quick!!!

The oven is really well packaged, a nice experience unboxing and genuinely simple to set up. Initially I tried cooking with gas, nice and quick/straightforward. Then tried with wood for that more fire/flame cooked experience. A tiny bit more effort with wood as you need to keep topping it up but no other real differences. Charcoal I imagine a nice middle ground and less faff. There's a definite trick to turning your pizzas somewhat frequently as they cook, something I learnt after a few burnt ones :D. Overall, an enjoyable oven to use and 30+ minutes pre-heat and you're ready to cook! Can't wait to try it camping! We cheated slightly and used flour tortilla wraps too for ultimate speedy pizza (cheeky i know :) )

2nd Gen Is Worlds Better

I’ve had a few Pizza ovens ever since Ooni started and I must admin having the door is a game changer, heats up so much quicker no need to worry on windy or rainy days just light and within 20 mins it’s up to temp, it’s a good size and what I’ve saved on fuel with the door has basically paid for the upgrade. These normally last about 3 years and that’s me doing pizzas every Saturday without fail and more in the summer.

This Is Our First Dedicated

This is our first dedicated Pizza oven. We purchased it to take camping with our family. We have only used oak wood to fire it, and have be absolutely thrilled! We took advise from the app and a friend to keep the dough from sticking the first time and had great success! I spit a 5 gallon bucket of oak to cook with, we have used the over 4 times making well over 30 pizza's and we still have 1/3 a bucket of wood! Looking forward to trying cooking other foods soon!

Love It But Patience Is Required

We love this in our new outdoor kitchen but it takes a long time to heat up- once it's ready it's fantastic

Upgrade

A substantial refinement on my old Ooni which I’d had for 6 years which was beginning to show its age with the pellet feeder bent out of shape by heat!

Love This Pizza Oven

This wood fire pizza oven is awesome. It cooks pizza in about 3 minutes, heats up fast and most importantly stays hot! I had the Ooni Frya and it was awful. Couldn’t keep the pellets going and the oven hot for anything. But not the case with this one! Should have bought this out of the gate and not wasted my money on the Frya.

Karu 2 2nd Generation

This is a great upgrade from the 1st generation. The door with the glass and thermometer addition is great and very useful.

I Bought The Propane Heating

I bought the propane heating uint to go with the oven. It take 15+ mins to heat up (which is ok) HOWEVER after one pizza the oven drops 300 degrees in temperature. I turn the flame to low while cooking or the pizza will get burnt. SUGGESTION????

Excellent Pizza Oven!

Quality materials and build. Cooks a pizza just like the videos I watched.
