Great Taste!

This protein powder has a great taste and no weird after taste, which I have noticed in alot of other powders. I like that it is plant based and has a subtle chocolate flavor without being overpowering.

Smooth Chocolate Flavor

I found the flavor to be spot on, and the taste is excellent. I have only mixed it with water, which seems to be a perfect choice. There is no chalky flavor.

Changed Formula?

I have been using this exact protein for a year, and I’ve always loved the great taste and easy mixability. However, my latest order has been a major disappointment. The flavor no longer resembles chocolate, and the smell is completely different from what I’m used to. To me, it tastes like either a bad batch or an expired product. I'm really let down, especially since I ordered four packs.

Better Than Expected!

With pea proteins I can usually feel the granules on my teeth, but this one was smoother than others such as Organe. I like the chocolate mixed with PB powder in my smoothies. Will buy again!

Very tasty and isn’t gritty at all when mixing this in, which is nice to find for a plant based protein powder!

I’ve used several of Optimum Nutrition’s protein powders for years (especially their Gold Standard line), and overall they’re a smart pick for anyone looking to boost protein intake without overpaying.

Better Than Some

The taste is fine. And it actually seems to mix pretty good in my shaker bottle. My problem with a lot of plant protein powder is that it seems extra powdery and therefore kind of messy going from the container to the mixer. I also use whey protein and don’t seem to have this problem with most whey protein.

I've tried both the chocolate and vanilla. Both were pretty tasty and not an awful texture at all for a plant-based protein powder. Ingredient list looks good and price similarly to others on the market. Overall, I like the product.

This Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Plant Protein Powder is a great way for vegans to get a daily dose of protein in a delicious beverage. You don’t have to be a vegan to enjoy this yummy protein powder, a lot of my friends are non vegan, but after I introduced them to it they were hooked just like I am. I usually mix mine in a shaker cup first thing in the morning and sip on it while getting ready for work!

Good Price And Taste. Does Not Mix That Well With Milk!

I bought this on sale and after applying a $10 reward it costs me $10. I mix it in a glass with almond milk and have to stir quite a bit so it doesn’t clumped. I work out a lot but have not noticed much in the way of muscle gains since taking this protein once a day. I am 63 so that may be a factor. It does taste good.

Works As An Alternative

My body cannot handle most protein powders and I have had bad luck with planet forms as well. I can tolerate this particular one and with no bad aftertaste.

There’s Better Products

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s good but not great. The taste is good but not a protein powder I would drink on its own. It’s really good if made into a shake but very cardboard tasting on its own.

This is the best tasting protein powder. It is effective and doesn't leave me feeling bloated or sick to my stomach like whey protein.
