Easy To Use

I have had this kayak for about a week now and I have used it five times already. this kayak is so easy to use, easy to carry, easy to get in and out of. I can grab the kayak, dry bag , paddle, water bottle and life jacket in one trip from car to the water. no going back and forth to carry everything or having to use a dolly. I have been going to work with the kayak in the car and after I get off work hit the water in 10 minutes and kayak for a few hours. Love this kayak. I have a perception tandem cove, and this kayak is more comfortable than that one and much more easier to handle being that it is way lighter and doesn't have to go on top of the car. after I have this one for a while and giving it a good year of kayaking, I plan to get the tandem "haven". great job on this kayak. You should think about making a small folding sailboat. You could use leeboards so you wouldn't have to have a dagger board or centerboard trunk. no holes in the bottom.

Bent Bulkhead S And Seat Cushion

Both my bulkheads were bent and my seat cushion has a very deep indentation in it . The part you sit on top of. Upon receipt of the kayak.

We Love Our New Kayak!

bought my husband the black Inlet kayak and got the white one for myself. We took them out for the first time last weekend, and it was smooth sailing! They’re incredibly lightweight, easy to carry, and glide beautifully on the water—we had such a great time. After about an hour, the seats did start to feel a bit uncomfortable, so I’ll be ordering the gel seat upgrades soon. Setup and takedown were a bit of a challenge at first (it took us about 40 minutes to get both kayaks ready), but now that we know the process, I’m sure it’ll be much quicker next time.

It Works!

After 52 years of experience with canoes and kayaks we got old enough that it is now pretty hard to hoist those boats around, so we decided to try two Inlets. Pros: easy to assemble, easy to carry, fairly easy to maneuver, easy to pack up. Cons: if you have a bad back be careful about trying to shift that backrest while paddling, as it is really easy to knock it completely loose and a little hard to get it back in its notch while paddling. Also, even with the addition of the memory foam seat you are still going to be sitting a little too low for a long paddle with a bad back. We are thinking about stacking two of those cushions, as that would probably be about the right seating height for both of us.
