Fit & Design:
J-zip large front panel access to main compartment
16" padded laptop sleeve, document sleeve
Quick-release aluminum security hook on harness
Stretch power mesh shoulder strap sleeve for transportation cards or small items
Large zippered front panel scratch-free pocket
Internal organization, small zip pocket and key clip
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Minimalist I like, however, pockets feel tight and not enough organization. The key leash location is awkward. Though fabric is of high quality, it’s hair and lint magnet. Does not self stand even when packed. The strap is uncomfortable on the neck.

The First Thing That You
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing that you notice when you unbox your Arcane is the quality of the materials. The fabric, the zippers, the straps. Everything is overbuilt for strength and functionality. The large Arcane is a little bit smaller than I expected, but it fits the commuter laptop bag role perfectly. Lightweight, compact and just the right amount of space. 15” laptop fits easily and securely. Not so big to be billowy when not packed full, but enough room for extra cords, snacks, and a light jacket. As something with decision paralysis, I researched bags in this category for months before making a selection. Exactly what I was looking for. Osprey continues to meet and exceed expectations. Love to see a brand still keeping standards high and sticking behind their products. I don’t write reviews often, but this product deserves one.

Whether I’m commuting, traveling, or just running errands, this bag adapts to every situation. I’ve owned many backpacks over the years, but this one truly delivers on both style and versatility. Highly recommend!

Reliable, If Slightly Over-engineered
Had this backpack for about a month, and I’m very pleased with it so far. It’s very well constructed, good quality material, and very comfortable to wear as someone with broad shoulders. It’s solid enough to protect my belongings, but flexible enough to not be awkward in tight spaces. It’s got plenty of separate pockets to carry everything on a day-to-day basis, and was also great as a rucksack on a 4 day holiday abroad. In this holiday I also spent several hours in torrential rain, and while it’s not waterproof, the book I was carrying was still completely dry by the end of the day, so you don’t have to worry about keeping it dry too much. The ribbed back means it’s comfortable and cool to wear for long periods of time, and the shoulder straps are very supportive. Only minor drawbacks: the thick padding on the internal pockets and sleeves, as well as the outside material, while an advantage for carrying delicate items, means the maximum capacity is slightly lower than you’d expect from a backpack of this size. Additionally, the carabiner clip on one strap is a nice idea, but it’s very stiff and awkward to use, and I can think of a situation where there isn’t an easier way to secure my bag while I’m not wearing it. Overall, definitely worth the price tag if you’re looking for a comfortable, everyday backpack. You might find you’ll struggle on 3+ day trips, but you’ll get by.

Great Bag
Great bag, only thing that lets Ospray down though is the key clip, it’s not as sturdy as some brands (such as eastpack) but it’s still a great feature! And red so that you can see it!
