Minor Niggles

In common with a number of others i question why only one hip pocket has a zip? an open one is largely useless as i have found already. Am also getting used to the more structured frame?? Dont know why this has changed??

Haven't Used It Yet But

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Haven't used it yet but it looks nice and it is exactly what I am looking for. I will update after the trip to Kumano Kodo, Japan.

So Literally And Comfortable.

Love my new work bag. Use it for carrying sat nav work gloves dinner water and flask. Just hope it stands the test of time. So far so good. My old Oakley rucksack was great as it had so many pockets, but was so heavy compared to this Osprey bag, feels half the weight of it. Just hope it holds up.

Nice Pack. Light Weight And

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice pack. Light weight and comfortable. I would like to see a zipper on the back versus the elastic pocket, but otherwise I recommend this pack

Good Pack For Day Hikes

Just used this pack on a weekend hiking trip to Yorkshire where I completed 2 day walks each of about 12 miles in a mixture of showery rain with dry spells. This is my first Osprey pack and I am quite impressed with it. I am male and 5'7'' and the pack size was just right for me. The build quality is very good and the small pockets were very useful. It was comfortable to walk in. The included rain cover is a nice extra but I didn't need to use it on these walks. One of the female walkers in my group tried it for size and comfort (she was about 5'6'') and was quite impressed. This is a unisex pack rather than being gender specific. In the main compartment I packed 3 dry sacks: one with waterproofs and a mid weight fleece, one with packed lunch and snacks, and one with phone, cash, binoculars, first aid kit. There was still room left inside. I put my gloves, hat and scarf in the front stuff pocket when not being worn. The only slight issue, and I am being really picky here, were the side pockets. These are large and deep and I did not anticipate any problems using one for my 750ml water bottle. However, I stumbled and slipped in the mud and the bottle toppled out to the floor. Having said that it would be impossible to design pockets to fit every possible water bottle size and shape and as I said I am being picky. Very good pack for this price point and I would definitely buy Osprey again.

I Do Love This Rucksack,

I do love this rucksack, but the only annoying issue is that my iPhone16 doesn’t fit in the hip pocket which means I can’t have easy access to it to take photos when on a hike!

Love!

I’ve been looking at the Osprey for awhile now. Finally took the plunge and decided to buy one. Dicks had exactly what I was looking for. I love it!

This Pack Was A Long

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pack was a long day hike upgrade for me and I chose it for 2 reasons. First was the Airspeed suspension which definitely keeps your back cool. Second was longer torso length. Along with all of the compression straps this a very comfortable and balanced pack. The stuff it pocket was an afterthought but is actually very handy. Extremely pleased with this purchase!

Note That The S/m Size Is 26 Litres, Not 28 Litres

The Osprey advertising for the Hikelite 28 is very misleading as the Small/Medium size is 26 litres, not 28. Hikelite 28 is printed on the front of the rucksack and the most of the labelling say 28 litres.

Please Add Stardust Yellow Color

Great bag, but please release this in the Stardust Yellow Color as can be seen on the 18L and 26L versions. Thank you!

Great Pack!

`I am a 50 year old occasional hiker who hasn't had a new pack since college. Just spent 3 days hiking in the Catskills with this pack on my back for 7-8 hours a day and I love it. Plenty of space and super comfortable. I barely noticed I was even carrying a pack, had zero shoulder or back strain, and like the frame that allows for some airflow through the back area - a big plus hiking in 80+ degree weather. Never had to use the internal rainfly, but that was definitely a selling point for me. Highly recommend!

I Love The Pack. I

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE the pack. I wore it packed with approximately 20 lbs. for 7.5 hours on trails in Ricketts Glen and barely felt I had it in. Airflow is really good on it. I love the belt pockets and the stretchy side pockets. My only complaint is how the bladder has to go behind the top inside compartment and getting the bite valve through the hole is a bit of a hassle. Just two small matters. I overall am happy this was my choice.

I Love This Pack. I

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this pack. I bought it to replace an older osprey pack that I completely wore out. I love the rigid stays on this backpack so that it sits upright when you put it on the ground and the air pocket helps keep it much cooler, a total bonus when you're hiking in the hot and humid Smokies.

Conquered Mt Kinabalu With This
