It covers the valve just fine and I don’t have to worry of it getting dirty.

1 Star Reviewer Here Aren't Using This Correctly...
This cover should be used to keep your bite valve from getting dirty (i.e., when you set your pack down)...not to prevent leakage from the tube, as that is what the bite valve's twist shut-off is for. A lot of rage for misusing a 3 dollar piece of plastic.

Just Include It With The Resevoir
This should come packaged with all the reservoirs they sell. It's essential, yet I'm paying extra. Why?

Product Designers, Fix This!
I switched to the osprey water bladder system. As guide who does week long treks in the Andes, Yosemite, and others, this bite valve cover is horribly frustrating it doesn't audibly snap it's very very loose. It can come off on a steep climb down and up leaving my water leaking when I can't afford to lose water. DESIGN TEAM FIX THIS!

Very Very Bad
Replacing the bite valve and the magnet that was on it was the first thing I did when I got my Mira. Honestly, I don't mind the design. What I DO mind is how this cover always manages to pop off on its own. It doesn't even really protect the bite valve, stuff still will get in there. The reservoir itself is absolutely amazing, especially with the insulation kit, but the valve system and magnet are seriously weak links.
