[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am using my bag for work and biking to work . My back is happy for me because the support on the bag is great . Wish it had at least one pocket outside .

After doing quite a bit of research I bought this pack. Previously, I used a cold cold world Valdez pack but wanted something a bit smaller for multi pitch climbing. The first thing noticed was that the top/main zipper snags every time one opens or closes it, due to the top being squarish and the zip has to go around a sharp corner. This makes me wonder if zipper will last, when I have the pack full. Speaking of, the amount of volume is just perfect for days's outing - fits a single rack, harness, helmet, water bottle, sandwich... Once climbing, the lack of a top pocket is very evident. One has to open the main zip and then open the internal zip pocket to get something small. For comfort, the straps at the top are quite close and feels tight on the neck.

I needed a mid-size bag for a full day of multi-pitch climbing, crag hopping, and lots of hiking in between. Priorities were lightweight, supportive, wearable while climbing, and water bladder compatibility. This bag fits the bill on all of those and is built to comfortably accommodate a harness while being to easily access gear. Where it missed the mark for me was that it's built for a male body. I tried as many adjustments as much as possible but as a 5'4"" female I couldn't get the right fit. I hope osprey recognizes an untapped market and creates female versions of these technical bags some day, like they do for hiking bags!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the hi-viz orange. It has every feature you'd want for ice climbing. It even has a couple loops on the hip belt for caritools. It also fits under airplane seats as a personal item for you travel ice climbers out there
