Not as durable or water resistant as old Ferrosi pant. Compared to the same pants 5 years ago, the new pants are showing signs of wear after one trip. See comparison photos. Lighter colored pant is the new Ferossi material. Did not show any water resistance while walking through dew covered ankle high grass; completely saturated within a few yards.

Poor Quality Material
I really liked these pants for the design, comfort... until I washed them (4times). They are now pilling. The material is defective. Outdoor research may want to do more Research on the material... very disappointed. Can't recommend these pants due to the lack of quality material.

Or Ruined The Best Pair Of Pants Ever Made
Outdoor Research completely ruined the greatest pair of pants ever made. The previous version was my go-to and I still wear them multiple times per week despite the fact that they're starting to fall apart after many years. The new version is torturous - way too tight in the hips and butt, turning them into a perpetual wedgie machine. In addition, the pockets are so unbelievably tight, it feels like I'm trying to cram my hand into a small ball jar every time I need to grab my phone, wallet, or keys. I've worn the new pair several times now and each time I've ripped them off as soon as I got home because they were so uncomfortable. I really hope they fix the pattern of these pants because the material itself is perfect. When they do, I'll buy multiple pairs.

Absolutely love these. I have another pair of these and fell in love with these. My favorite pair of hiking pants by far! Incredibly comfortable, flexible, and lightweight

Great Pants
My old pants were OR and lasted forever so when it was time for new ones it was a no brainer to go with these. They are incredibly comfortable. Very soft and very stretchy makes them great pants for any outdoor activity. The legs zip off easily and the pockets are great. Can't say much more about them. Outstanding quality and a great brand who stands behind their products.
