It's a slim fit jacket that has zippers on the sides (best part) that allows me to wear it riding, hiking, and walking. I've worn it in several hard rains keeping me drive for several hours hiking. Recommend sizing up.

Works well for a 2 layer rain jacket. It’s nice and light to fit in a pack and is great around town. If needed for extreme weather, I would buy a 3 layer jacket. Really great jacket at its price point and I would buy it again

I own the OR Helium jacket which essentially lives in my bike hip bag or hiking pack in case of the sporadic Colorado downpours. Opted to buy this jacket for a sturdier, more waterproof option & I was thrilled with the construction of this jacket!. I LOVE the arm pit zips for dumping heat. It only a little bulkier to pack down than the Helium Jacket, while providing more pockets, under arm vents, & stronger DWR waterproofing. Packed it as my shell later for a 5 day elk hunt this fall which kept me dry & locked in heat through a bit of snow & rain showers. Looking forward to having this in my bag for lightweight splitboarding shell for spring missions!

Really enjoying this jacket for the packability and venting options.

Good jacket, just don’t think it is intended to be used in heavy rain. Probably better in snow.

This jacket is holding up well in light-medium rain. It is large enough in the medium to layer underneath which was important to me. It feels very durable and well constructed. I like all the zipper pockets, and the color is nice too. I'd say this isn't a jacket for crazy weather or very difficult terrain but for all around performance at this price this jacket is great and I will be using it for a long time.

Been saved by this jacket on heavy storms in urban environments and I’ve also been on top of mountains in freezing temps. It’s my go to jacket for waterproof.

Grabbing this jacket for hiking was an amazing decision. Typically rain jackets are so uncomfortable for me I would rather get soaked. This is because wether it's gortex or not I typically sweat to much and end up getting soaked anyways. The pit zips that go all the way down are the best thing about this jacket. On a hike yesterday it went back and forth from drizzling to pouring. Pit zips in accordance kept coming up and down, and I got into my truck completely dry from sweat and rain for the first time ever after an hour of hiking.

Great ventilation with zippers from armpit to waist! Includes taped waterproof seams! Amazing jacket, incredibly lightweight and compact!

Held up for 3 hours in a steady light/medium rain. Kept me dry while other coworkers were soaked. The zippers in arm pit area are also fantastic.

Great lightweight shell. Packs down small and has room for layering. Love it!

When I was hiking in the pnw this past week it was wet and humid and I was taking on and taking off layers all the time. This jacket was the only thing I kept on and I have had different jackets from many different brands over the years. This is by far the most comfortable

This Jacket looks great. Well-designed and great ventilation. It's comfortable, stylish. It's a n excellent jacket for a light rain but it is not waterproof in any sort of down pour, even after a hearty cleaning and DWR treatment it doesn't hold up to heavy rain at all. If you need a hiking or mountaineering jacket this aint it. But a commute, running to the car, walking the dog? yeah its good for that.

It's sad that I have to leave this review, but the jacket I received and the replacement sent my way aren't waterproof in any way. The material gets soaked as soon as water hits it. I have other items from OR that I love, but this, I can't recommend except as a windbreaker. The colour and the fit were great, but this is not what I wanted.
