Not waterproof and strange fit. I have average to narrow hands and these are super narrow, almost tight in the width. Can barely fit a wool mitt underneath. Rain got in pretty quickly. Very disappointed.

Vital gear item. Only small size available. What gives?

I was so excited to receive these shell mittens as a gift, but the sizing runs large and, unfortunately, I can't use them. I am a small woman and received these in an XS, which fits the circumference of my hand according to the size chart. The thumb fits fine, but the mitts were nearly 1.5" too long on my fingers and they flop around even when layered over another glove. I ended up giving them to my husband, who typically wears men's M gloves. He can even wear the Revel mitts over other ski gloves without a problem, which suggests these run very large. Additionally, the ratio of thumb to finger length on the XS does not look anything like the photo. The finger part is much longer relative to the thumb, and it doesn’t seem like a natural hand shape. Overall, I was disappointed that a unisex XS fits more like a men's M, especially since these go all the way up to an XL in available sizes! I would really love to see more inclusive sizes or a dedicated women's version that fits smaller hands. Other than the sizing issues, they seem like good shell mittens. My husband seems to like them - he says they add nice warmth and wind protection while skiing and are super packable.

Night these a month ago for a trip to Iceland. They are NOT waterproof. Wore them on a Zodiac ride, with warm, wool mittens underneath. They were soaked through in less than an hour. Very disappointed.
