Rugged Protection

After owning a set of Rocky Mountain gaiters for many years I can say that these are built VERY tough. Ive used them in snow, dense brush, and streams yet they don't fail. The gaiters offer added protection from water ingress from crossing small streams or walking through wet grass or snow. As well they protect your boots and pants giving extra pick resistance when facing thorns. Im in love with this product and would buy again in a heartbeat if they ever do fail me which doesn't seem to be anytime soon!

These are fantastic. They stayed on all day and did not loosen. Have not torn or otherwise degraded through multiple multiday trips in the backcountry.

If You Do Not Own Gaiters, You Are Wrong.

The Outdoor research Rocky gaiters are amazing. I've used them in downpours, snow, mud, everywhere. They are amazing for keeping the elements and insects out. Here in Tennessee there are lots of underbrush you'll come across that tears up clothing or leaves you covered in ticks. These gaiters do an amazing job protecting your legs and keeping you warm in the winter. I will say, they are not the most breathable during the summer but that is to be expected. All in all buy them and you will not be disappointed!

Very Effective

I've bought a few pairs of these for hunting in Alaska. Very easy to get on and very effective. My only point of contention is the velcro flap on the bottom front tends to separate from the fabric.

Light Weight Dry

They fit well, keep my boots and socks dry while out on SAR missions. Edit: I have been using them for a while now and they are still going strong. I have used them in wet weather and they've worked well including keeping my socks dry on stream crossings. I have also used them during snow sports and they've been great. Would definitely recommend, fit is spot on and they work as designed. 10/10

They don’t really stay up on your legs very well. They usually bunch down at your ankles after an hour of so walking cross country or in the forest.

These were great as a gift for my dad and are very simple and the material seemed very durable. I have used OR products in the past and they have stood the test of time. Great for anyone trying to get out in the snow/mud!

Worked Perfectly

Size seems a little big. I would probably go with a large the next time (wear size 12 shoe). Kept snow and debris out without any problems. Very easy to put on

Saved Me In The Snow!

I went hunting with my brother in Idaho where he was living and was unprepared for the weather! Lucky for me my brother had these amazing gaitors! they saved my feet on a multiday upland hunting adventure. We hiked 30+ miles in snowy conditions, and not good dry snow but that wet nasty snow. Day one my boots were soaked through and without these gators, I don't know if I would have been able to keep going for the full week long trip. Great product at a great price!

Great Gaitors!

The OR gaitors are great. Velcro front closure, boot lace hook to keep them secure from riding up, and easy rubber strap that secures under the sole of the boot. Plenty tall enough too. Would definitely recommend... Beginner or expert, anyone would find these useful!

Durable And Functional

I use these while pushing through some of the densest, wettest, and least passable forests the PNW has and they function flawlessly. My feet stay dry, my pants don’t become entangled in the brush and vines and nothing comes into my boots.

Solid Gaiters

I needed some new gaiters for snowshoeing and backcountry skiing. I been liking the Outdoor Research products I've used recently so it was a no brainer to try these. No complaints! From the lace hook to the velcro enclosure and cinch strap at the top they work great. I went with a size large. I am 6' and about 180lbs and stomp around on size 11 feet. They come up to just under my knee and I need to cinch the cinch strap a good bit, but perfectly functional at that size for me.

Good Gaiters

I wear them regularly all winter. Wore med size because the leg height was spot on only issue the foot strap needs 2 more holes longer so they fit over my boots in the right place for the hook loop. This time i went with the large. I am 6'2" size 11 boots They are so tall they fasten at the knee, rubs the back of the knee, about 2" too long to be worn comfortably, but they fit nicely over my boots.

Stood up to the toughest terrain on my past elk hunt. These are worth their weight on those long backcountry hunts/hikes.
