I bought it one rainy summer a few years back cause I didn’t like hiking and regular cotton hats getting soaked. Now I bring it everywhere, fishing , hiking or camping. It keeps the wind and water off my head, stylish enough that it doesn’t look weird on a middle age family man. When the hat gets water logged it isn’t heavy and dries in a few hours. However, it is too heavy for a sunny day but true to its name that’s to be expected.

I have purchased this hat for my family and friends. In order for the hood on rain coats to keep the face dry, they have to be pulled forward to the point of no side vision. With the Seattle Rain Cap, I can use the hood on the rain coat in a comfortable position and the bill of the rain cap keeps my face dry. Not having rain on the face makes walking in the rain comfortable. The bill is quite large, which means it does its job effectively. I worry they will discontinue this hat after it’s become essential to us.

Please bring back the Black color way. Please!!!!!! Not bad, kinda water resistant. My friends make fun of me for the hat, but I like it.

I bought this hat to replace a standard cap i was wearing with my raincoat to keep rain out of my face and it works like a dream! The old cap would start leaking and inevitably stop serving a purpose. But not this one! I have worn it on a couple hikes too! It is very light weight, adjustable, and most importantly it does what i needed it to! I highly recommend OR to everyone in general, but if you’re looking for rain or sun hat (or both) OR has you covered ( literally 😅)!

I use this for trail running in freezing temperatures, for yard work when it's pouring and also for travelling. It's windproof, lightweight, I like the blue color, so what's not to like? I cannot use for temperatures below -10C or below 15F where I use a warm wool hat, otherwise this is what I call a AWD hat (All Weather Design)
