I bought this for a hike while on vacation because I forgot my current compression brace. I hiked several miles in this and found it fit very tight across the very top and bottom bands. This tightness became significantly uncomfortable after wearing several hours. The brace offered mild compression around the rest of the knee area which did help me to some extent. I usually need to wear a compression brace for a few hours after hiking to keep swelling down (because I have bone on bone grinding with my patella). As I did this the seams in the back of the knee brace were also noticeably digging into the skin at the back of the knee when sitting down. The digging became so uncomfortable I had to take it off while driving back to the hotel after the hike. If I had gone up a size in the brace it would not have given enough compression. I would not buy this brace again!
