Never Stood Tall And Sturdy

Broke First Day

I was excited to give this to my kids because it allowed us to easily move it between the backyard or a park but the tripod supports bent and the center stake broke off of the pole within the first 15 minutes of use. I don't think this product would work for any kids over maybe 3-4 years old. The bigger kids will break it immediately. I took it back to Dicks and told them they should not even bother to sell this product. The design is way too cheap for the stress put on it.

Grandkids Love It

The portable tetherball set is easy to set up and move around the yard so that no one area is destroyed. The kids have recruited family and friends to play constantly. It is tough enough for the kids to really go at it.

Nice Set

After speaking to the Park & Sun customer service regarding the reviews, they said that the base was redesigned and much more stable. I bought one and it has been working great for about 6 months.

Unstable Base

I like everything about this tetherball except for the base. The height is good, with a nice long rope attached to the tetherball and the ball is good quality. We mounted this in our grass so our son would have a big area to play. Unfortunately, it is so wobbly in the grass, no matter what additional reinforcements we have put on it. He is only 9 years old and the force (which is not excessive) he uses eventually makes it pull up from the grass. I do not think mounting it in dirt would make any difference. I would recommend this tetherball if you are permanently mounting it in cement. We like it enough that we are looking into a permanent option.
