Good For Its Intended Purpose

Overall, for a rain jacket, it is solid. One thing I did not expect, and was almost a dealbreaker, was the long sleeves. The sleeves are very long which makes it a little annoying at times. There is velcro at the wrists to tighten, but I find when I tighten to make it wearable, I then have to undo the velcro to the jacket off. Overall, it's a very nice jacket and they have a great warranty on the product. Just a heads up on the long sleeves.

Patagonia Men's Torrentshell 3l Jacket- Just What I Needed!

I did extensive research on rain shells before deciding on the Patagonia Torrentshell 3L Jacket. There are more expensive rain shells on the market but at some point you are just paying for a name. It has all the features I wanted and when it went on sale I didn't hesitate.

Effective And Not Toxic.

Used in about 3 storms now. Perfectly dry underneath. Hood fitting adjustments are awesome, if you’re using it for running it won’t be bouncing around on your head and twisting. Also very happy with the material choices and Patagonia’s restoration/repair policies.

Great rain coat, I had older version lasted 15 years (still have it), just last year it started to fall apart - worth the price due to how long they last!

Uncomfortable Pitt Zippers

The zippered armpits were really uncomfortable. I appreciate the mesh there but they don’t need zippers. It makes all the other features moot if I don’t want to wear it.

While I haven't gotten to use it for its intended purpose yet, I can tell you it is a high quality product (I'd hope so for the price). I look forward to using it in the rain. I'll update this review if it does not meet expectations, but for now, I am hopeful.

Fantastic As Always

Great jacket from a great company! I love Patagonia gear because it lasts and they care about the environment. My only complaint is that Dick’s doesn’t stock enough of their products.
