Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had to come back to review Bought this kayak from Dick's 2 years ago, and it's still going strong despite being stored outside in 4 seasons. I felt compelled to come back and write a review now because it has really exceeded all expectations despite frequent use (I kayak 3-4x a week). Great features, comfortable seat, and tracks straight as an arrow. I originally chose this model because of its weight. It was the lightest boat I could find and is easy to carry from car to launch (5'9'' slender female). Compared to a lot of other angler models, it's not that long, and it fits comfortably inside our minivan. Not having to deal with a roof rack is a huge plus. I had my doubts about long-term durability at this price, but it's held up beautifully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good! I purchased two of these online for in store pickup. After several uses, I cant find anything to complain about. My girlfriend and I had never kayaked before, so you can take our novice opinion with a grain of salt, but we are truly enjoying these kayaks. Fishing from them has been an absolute joy. My small cooler straps in perfectly right behind the seat. My butt does get a little sore after a couple hours of sitting, but I wouldn't call the seat padding horrible. I just need to get out and stretch my legs after a few hours on the water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great speed for it's size I love how quickly the kayak moves through the water, especially upstream.Have taken it out twice in a week and I'm very happy with it. My only concern, and the reason for 4/5 stars is the storage capacity. I know I bought it, aware of the capacity, but a well would be the perfect addition to the bow. This is my first Kayak, and I highly recommend for the novice fisherman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is good This is a great fishing kayak. It is pretty light. It tends to drift around in almost a straight line. It has great stapleillite for catching big fish like big pike and big bass that like to blow the top water lure. It also can hold a good amount of tackle. Also a few places to put I fishstringer for if you catch some nice bluegals in a hotspot. Also great for getting close to docks that you wouldn't be able to with a normals boat. It last a very long time. This kayak can hold up to a max of 7 rods. Have a good time fishing in this high quality product from kayak bassin. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, stable, tracks well, great kayak for the price I have owned several kayaks including 2 inflatables. The main reason I chose this is its weight and size. It is very easy to handle, from inside of my SUV to a ramp to water, takes only 1 minute.Other kayaks - 12ft ocean bound is heavy and very difficult to load/unload from the roof top of my tall SUV. It require a lot of works; setting cross bars, J-shape racks, loading, securing with several straps, and unloading from the roof top to water... all take 40 minutes or more. And moreover, I have to do it all over again on the way back.Inflatable is light and easy to transport (and to store), but it requires a few hundred pumping ups - that takes 10 to 15 minutes. If you use an up-down-stroke hand pump, you'd get rather tired before paddling on water. This Axiom 100, 10-foot, can fit inside of my SUV. So, I don't need to do any roof-top thingies. The performance of the Axiom is excellent; it tracks well, very stable, easy to sit in and out, pretty fast for the size, and is ideal for lakes or quiet waters. I give 5 stars for that.I found most of Pelican kayaks are identical in construction, shape, design, and performance. They must be produced from the same mold. I believe that would contribute to their low prices. At the first look, it seems to be rather cheep (sorry), comparing to $1000 kayaks. However, its performance is as great as or even better than expensive ones.It is good for fishing also. I like the paddle rest - just a notch in the cormic in front, that is very handy while fishing. Five rod holders are well equipped and very handy. I am converting stern space into a motor/battery compartment for motorizing this Axiom 100. That's my next project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it First time kayak owner, I just bought this and a trailblazer 100. Both are very light, fast, and tracked well. Didn't use the rod holders yet over two days on the lake, but we found both kayaks light, fast, and maneuverable. Both seem like a good bargain for the price, and I'd recommend to any beginner wanting to get into kayaking.
