Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Kayak, bought 2 of them because we loved them ! We bought the Kayak on sale at Dicks for $179.00 . I have an Old Town, and Feild and Stream, and have been kayaking for about 5 years. My other two Kayaks are heavier, and longer, Their also Sit in, vs Sit on Top ( SOT ) like this one. I wanted one smaller, lighter, and would get more breeze , cooler, as we live in Florida. I bought it Friday and used it all day Saturday on the river. I hit boat traffic with 1' foot waves and more, as well as a bad storm which kicked up the river. It was very stable, very easy to paddle, and tracked what you would expect with a 10' Kayak. I loved it so much, I went back on Sunday and bought the coral colored one for my wife and daughter to use. They are both in-experienced and used it all day taking turns following me all day the following day. I have $100 seats on my larger Kayak, but was fine in this one for a while with the stock seat. For under $200.00 , it's a great deal. My wife and daughter loved them. They tried my bigger kayak's and never liked them, as their heavier, take my paddle to paddle since their Sit in. I'm 5'-10" and used a 230Cm and my wife and daughter are 5'-2" and used a 220CM paddle. In my Sit in, I use a longer paddle, 240Cm as I have to reach over the hull more. Both lengths are perfect for the Sit on top.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tracks like a roller coaster It's okay to rest your drink on while in a swimming pool, or to send your mother-in-law out in really rough chop. If you want a good kayak but are a little short of cash, spend the two hundred bucks or so and buy a used kayak of better quality. This tracks poorly has a hard seat (again these things are fine for your wife's mother) I will say it is easy to self rescue if you flip it. Of course if you do go over you will probably just want to go ahead and drown than get back aboard. I think I will use mine to plant flowers in, as they will have good drainage.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Keep it on the flatwater.... This is a decent value for a boat to putter around on a lake or pond, chill out and maybe wet a line, but not at all a seaworthy craft. I took it out to surf some small knee high waves, and the nose buries itself in the water. Being 215lbs, I thought perhaps I was a bit heavy for it, so my 90lb son took it for a spin, and the same result awaited him. I've been paddling for over 10 years on the ocean, and have surfed huge hurricane swells in my Wilderness Systems Tarpon 100, and owned many different craft through the years, and have never paddled such a limited boat. The scuppers drained so slowly after going through waves that there was constantly 3 or 4 inches of water in the boat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pelican bandit 100 Purchased this yak on sale 179.00. For a first time yacker was fairly stable trackin in the water current is little unstable and little wabbly but for the price I guess I can live wit that only problem we had is that went threw 2 of them because they were scraped and or scuffed real bad By manufacturing and or shipping so I wish they would inspect quality better at dicks before selling for the other one home and big scratch across the bottom of boat but not returning another one will live with it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New to kayaking and the family loves it! I bought this as a Mother's Day gift. I was very hesitant to spend this amount of money on a kayak. We had it out on the lake over the Memorial Day weekend and everybody loved it! Mom, 14 year old and 10 year old boys. I loved it too! Now I am concerned about spending money for additional kayaks. The big idea that the boys are floating is that everyone should have their own so we can 'yak' as a family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent kayak for fishing the ocean bays. I'm pretty new to kayaks but find this particular kayak is extremely stable. I use it in the bay for light fishing and it does the job at a fraction of the cost. Its portable, stable and fast. Lux718

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little yak! I've been kayaking for about 6 years. I have always paddled long yaks about 11'5 - 16 ft long. I wanted a sit on top to play on the Suwannee with. I live on the river full time and wanted something light I could pick up myself and drag it up the cliff from the river. Not only is the yak light, it's fun on the river. It's stable. I was standing up in it and using it like a paddle board. Lots of room for such a small boat. I recommend this boat to anyone. Wether you are a beginner or experienced kayaker.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Truly unbeatable for the price I bought this on sale for the main purpose of using it as a fishing kayak. With some cheap modifications this kayak is perfect. It's ridiculously stable considering I weigh 200+ lbs and keeps me somewhat dry considering I fish the intracoastal all the time. The one thing I would complain about is the tracking of the kayak. It's a bit irritating trying to get a quick cast in while doing a 180, but on the other hand the kayak is very maneuverable. All in all, great kayak.
