Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun to use! This is the most stable, easy to use kayak. I LOVE my Pelican.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for family time on the lake My wife and I are "older" and had never been kayaking. They are easy to use and well constructed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love I am not an experienced kayaker but really have enjoyed this kayak. It has plenty of room for my 5'5 frame and is fairly easy to haul and move. I have had no problems with leaks or tracking. I only wish it had better handles on the sides for carrying instead of only on the ends and wish it had bungee cord for cargo on the front. Love!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great! The only con to this purchase is that it didn't come with a paddle. We should've went to Walmart. Price is about the same AND they come with the obviously necessary paddle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Beginner Kayak I live on a lake and had only been out on a kayak 1 time, so I am really a beginner. I am a big guy so I decided on the sit on top model for easier in and out access. I really love this Bandit! I can easily lift this out of the water by myself (there are handle holds on each side, molded into the side.) I was not sure how the seat would feel with out padding but I don't mind it a bit. I go out for about 2 hours each day and it is really comfortable! Great price from Dick's so it all really fit me. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the underside is not very strong. I had it up on saw horses to wash it out and when I pressed the scuppers back in, it creased the hull. It did not crack and it still holds true but it doesn't look good. Just be careful and you'll love this beginner kayak!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful kayaks We bought these in June and have been out on them probably 10+ times since. They are perfect for us (husband is 6'5, I am 5'5, and we each fit in ours). Our 3 year old son sits on the front, and we still feel really stable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for the money This is a good beginner kayak. Perfect length to manage in the water. I could have just gone ahead and spent a little more by the time I added a nicer seat, cleats ect

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and does the job I am an avid kayaker, and finally got tired of limiting myself to places with rentals. I bought the sit-on-top Pelican a few months ago and so far I love it. My only complaint is that it is fairly difficult to keep the kayak forward-facing, especially while rowing. Aside from it wanting to constantly turn sideways, it is incredibly stable and does not seem easy to tip. The seat is comfortable for having no padding, and there is ample foot and leg space with different places where I can either have my knees bent or straight. I am even able to fit my smaller fishing pole between my legs while kayaking. I bought the kayak during a boat sale but would have been equally happy with my purchase had I paid full price. Highly recommend this kayak.
