Excellent Penn Product For The Price

Purchased last month use it for jigging and bottom fishing in the Gulf of Mexico light weight and strong have it paired to a fin nor lethal 30 2 speed reel

Great Rod For Snapper

Use on snapper and for bait, great rod. I have three of them.

Penn Rampage 5'8" Jigging Rod

I was dropping 8 and 10 ounce verticle jigs down to 150 feet and the rod performed excellently. Strong backbone,yet sensitive enough to feel the bite. No need to spend hundreds of $ for a jigging rod. I caught several large Amberjacks with this rod and it did a great job controlling the fight. I like it so much I bought the Penn SSV 6500 6'6" spinning/jigging rod and reel combo I haven't used it yet but I know it will perform as well as the more expensive jigging set up's.

Great For Kayaking

Awesome rod! Using it on my kayak for jigging and its just long enough to use and sturdy with any jigs!

Penn Jigging Casting Rod

Overall good value. Just don't set the drag on your reel to tight . Last one snapped in half with a 37 lb. tuna on the other end. Wife still landed tuna.
